Student Name: (Chi) Hang Nguyen

Date: 6-20-2021
Activity Description:
Create your own can soup label. Measure can soup and creating your own label.
What you accomplished or learned:
I have learned to make exact measurements on the PowerPoint. I needed specific
measurements of a picture to fit in a picture frame before and was unsure how to create an
exact measurement. This project taught me how to do just that. I have encountered many
issues along the way. At first, I misunderstood the project and made an exact replica of
Campbell soup label. I learn that I cannot function properly when I am sick. I did not understand
the project when my head was hurting, and I felt sick. I learn that I need to be understanding to
my students that if one is truly sick, one will not be able to concentrate on the lesson. I have
used different fonts, spacing, and colors on this project to replicate an existing item.
National Education Technology Standards for Students (NETS-S) Addressed:
Innovative Designer #4 4c: Students develop, test, and refine prototypes as part of a cyclical
process.
Knowledge Constructor #3 3c: Students curate information from digital resources using a variety
of tools and methods to create collections of artifacts that demonstrate meaningful connections
or conclusions.
Application of Skills Learned in the Future:
I learn to convert the measurements of an item I want to replicate into power point. I have used
the line tools to recreate the soup label. The fonts needed to be changed to fit into the label. I
have used images, fonts, lines, paint, fonts, color, text, word art, shapes, and icons to make this
soup label. This would be a great project that teaches kids to use measurement skills and
technology.
