The average household expenditures in Japan and Malaysia

The given pie chart compared the proportion of household spending in Japan and
Malaysia in 2010.
Overall, there were five main categories, and householders in both nations spent the
highest proportion on housing, food, and other goods and services. The percentage
figures for transport and healthcare in Japan was twice time larger than in Malaysia.
In Japan, the second highest category was housing, which represented 21% of the total
expenditures, while in Malaysia, this figure was much higher, at 34%. Japanese
householders spent highest percentage on a range of other goods and services, at 29%.
This was slightly higher than in Malaysia, which accounted for 26%. And for the terms of
food, both countries had the similar proportion, at 24% and 27% in Japan and Malaysia,
respectively.
Expenditures for healthcare was the lowest category in both Japan and Malaysia. In
Japan, this accounted for 6%, while Japanese householders spent 20% of the total on
transport. These figures were twice time higher than Malaysia.
