Title: Level of implementation and readiness of teachers towards the modular approach of

learning in the new normal.

Introduction to the Method Section

This chapter discusses the research design, participants of the study, data gathering

instrument, data collection, and data analysis.

Research Design

The descriptive - survey method will be used in this study. This method is used to gather

data about varying subjects. This data aims to know the extent to which different conditions can

be obtained among these subjects (https://www.formpl.us/blog/descriptive-research). This

method is best employed in this study as this is intended to gather and analyze data on the level

of implementation and readiness of teachers towards modular learning

Respondent of the study

The respondents to this study are the 100 teachers from San Mariano National High

School, San Mariano, Isabela. It is composed of 21 male and 79 female from the Junior High

School and Senior High School department

Research Instrument

A questionnaire made by the researcher will be used in this study. The questionnaire will

be posted using google form and the link will be provided to participants for them to join the

survey.

Data Collection

A letter requesting permission to conduct the study will be forwarded to the principal of

San Mariano National High School. After approval is granted, coordination will be done to

provide the link of the survey to respective participants.

Data Analysis

After the retrieval of the survey questionnaires, the data gathered will be tallied,

tabulated, organized, and treated on a meaningful analysis and interpretation of data with the

following statistical tools:

1. Frequency. This will be used to determine the number of times the data value occurs in

the responses of students.

2. Percentage. This will be used to know the percentage of frequency.

Formula:

Percentage Distribution= f (100%)

Where:

F=frequency

N=total number of respondents

3. Weighted Mean. This will be used in determining the responses of the Senior High

School students on their attitudes towards homework.

Formula:

Mean = S x F

Where:

F= frequency

S= score

N= total number of the respondents
