BODY SHAPES
TOPIC
INSTRUCTIONS: CREATES SHAPES BY USING DIFFERENT BODY
PARTS.

There are different parts of your body that help you move and do everyday
activities. These body parts enable you to do specific movements even if you are
just standing in place or moving around. You have to move these body parts
properly so you could do things that make you active and useful.
There are different body shapes you can do. These are STRETCH, CURL,
TUCK, and TWIST. Your body does one or many of these shapes every time you
move.

STRETCH – You do this body shape when you extend your body or limbs (arms
and legs).

CURL – You do this body shape when you form your body into a curved or spiral
shape.

TUCK – You do this body shape when you bend your knees, draw your thighs
closely to your chest, and clasp your hands around your legs.

TWIST – You do this body shape when you turn a part of your body to form a curl
or spiral shape while the rest of the body is fixed.

NOTEBOOK ACTIVITY: Copy the meaning of the underlined words in your

notebook.
ACTIVITY 1

REMEMBER!
Your body can always form one or more body shapes. Everything you do takes
on a body shape. Remember to do a body shape that fits a particular situation. For
example, in an emergency you need to tuck your body to protect some of its
important parts.
