Activity Guide and Evaluation Rubric – Task 2 Family tree

1. Activity Description

With this activity, you are expected to achieve the following learning
outcomes:

Learning outcome 1: To use a basic repertoire of simple words and phrases related to
your personal data and specific situations through short written communicative acts.

Learning outcome 2: To recognize basic sentence structures, words, and expressions


to communicate limited information in simple short audios and conversations.

The activity consists of:

Individual Work

1. Go to the E-book and study the Unit 1. Develop the exercises there. These exercises
are just for practice, so you don’t need to send them or add screenshots to the final
document of the task.

2. Look at the Family Tree in the E-book and study the examples of sentences.
After that, create your own Family Tree, adding at least 10 members of your family,
you can include: cousins, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc. Be
creative!
Finally, write at least five sentences presenting your family, you can follow the
samples in the E-book. Post your family tree and your sentences in the Discussion
forum (Learning Environment).

3. Complete the next chart with the correct vocabulary so that they are true for you
according to your likes and dislikes:

Free time activities / sports
Music

Then, with your own voice, record your likes and dislikes from the chart, with full sentences.

Example: I like carrots, but I don’t like cauliflowers.

You can use Vocaroo, (https://vocaroo.com/) or any other recording service, and paste your
link of recording in the final document.

Post your chart and recording link in the Discussion forum (Learning Environment).

4. Finally, use the vocabulary you wrote in the previous exercise, to ask questions to your
partners in the Discussion forum. You can choose two partners to ask your questions or
you can just post them in forum, so anyone can answer.

Example: Do you like carrots? / What kind of music do you like?

Don’t forget to answer to your partners’ questions in the forum.

5. Create a final PDF document where you include your family tree and the sentences, the
chart and the link of the recording, and the questions and answers you got in the forum.
Name the file like this:
Task 2 Student’s name.
Send it to the corresponding link in Evaluation environment.

2. General Guidelines for the Development of Evidences to Submit

For Individual evidences, consider the following:

Please keep in mind that all individual or collaborative written products must comply
with the spelling rules and presentation conditions defined in this activity guide.
Regarding the use of references, consider that the product of this activity must
comply with APA style.
In any case, make sure you comply with the rules and avoid academic plagiarism.
You can review your written products using the Turnitin tool found in the virtual
campus.
