1.CREATIVE ARTS

SUBMISSION BASED:

1) EVENT NAME: KATUSHKA / Reel It

DESCRIPTION: Theme Based Art Reel Making Event: Participant has to make an Art Ree
based on a theme using any Art related Trends.
TIME: Depends on Registration Period
RULES:
1. This is an individual event.
2. The event will be conducted in one round.
3. Participants are requested to make an Art Ree based on a theme using any Art related
Trends
4. The reel should be of 30 Seconds.
5. A submission link will be provided in the Whatsapp group and will not accept any
responses after the deadline.
6. The video of the Reel and the participant’s picture should be uploaded in the respective
fields of the google form
7. Judging criteria will depend on the ratios, accuracy, creativity, theme and uniqueness.

2) EVENT NAME: NOVENTA


DESCRIPTION: 90-sec Art Challenge: Create mesmerising artworks while you
challenge yourselves to do it in just 90 Secs
TIME: Depends on the Registration Period
RULES:
A. This is an individual event.
B. The participant has to make an artwork in 90 secs.
C. Participants are needed to shoot a video of the painting with a timer of 90 secs and the
video should be of a max of 100 secs where artwork should be complete in 90 secs.
D. The video, a picture of the artwork and the participant with the artwork should be
uploaded in the respective fields of the google form.
E. A submission link will be provided in the Whatsapp group and will not accept any
responses after the deadline.
F. Judging criteria will depend on colour balancing, prospective, accuracy, details,
uniqueness and theme.
3) EVENT NAME: MIXTISQUE
DESCRIPTION: Mixed Media Art Painting: Artwork with only mediums have to be
prepared based on the given Theme.
TIME: Depends on the Registration Period
RULES:
1. This is an individual event.
2. Participants should strictly use only two painting/art mediums
3. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
4. Theme for the event will be provided right before the competition.
5. A submission link will be provided in the Whatsapp group and will not accept any
responses after the deadline.
6. The picture of the artwork and the participant with the artwork should be uploaded in the
respective fields of the google form
7. The two mediums used should be mentioned clearly in the Google Form at the time of
submission.
8. Judging criteria will depend on uniqueness, neatness, accuracy, detailing and theme.

4) EVENT NAME: FOLDISH


DESCRIPTION: Create a Scene with Origami based on the given theme.
TIME: Depends on the Registration Period
RULES:
1. This is an individual event.
2. No cutting of the piece is to be done!
3. An entire scene has to be created where every element should be made out of Origami
4. Theme for the will be given right before the competition.
5. A submission link will be provided in the Whatsapp group and will not accept any
responses after the deadline.
6. The picture of the artwork and the participant with the artwork should be uploaded in the
respective fields of the google form
7. Judging criteria will depend on accuracy, creativity, details, uniqueness and theme.

5) EVENT NAME: FACIEM


DESCRIPTION: Face Painting
TIME: 90 mins or 1 hr 30 mins
RULES:
1. It is an individual event, where the main participant will be the Painter and can be assisted
by a Model.
2. The participant should be assisted by a model to paint. The pain
3. Plagiarism is strictly inhibited.
4. Theme for the event will be provided right before the competition.
5. The face should be fully painted.
6. A submission link will be provided in the Whatsapp group at the end of the competition
and a time limit of 10 minutes will be given to do the same.
7. The picture of the artwork and the participant with the artwork should be uploaded in the
respective fields of the google form
8. Judging criteria will depend on accuracy, creativity, details, uniqueness, dialogues/ humour
and theme.
6) EVENT NAME: BHAVACHITRAM / RITRATTO
DESCRIPTION: Portrait Painting!
TIME: 90 mins or 1 hr 30 mins
RULES:
1. This is an individual event.
2. The event will be conducted in one round.
3. Participants are requested to make a portrait based on a theme given right before the
competition.
4. The time limit is 1 hr 30 mins.
5. A submission link will be provided in the Whatsapp group at the end of the competition
and a time limit of 10 minutes will be given to do the same.
6. The picture of the artwork and the participant with the artwork should be uploaded in the
respective fields of the google form
7. Judging criteria will depend on the ratios, accuracy, creativity, theme and uniqueness.

General Rules(Submission Based Events):


1.Theme for each event will be notified to participants on respective event’s
Whatsapp Group.
2. Any form of vulgarity, profanity or nudity used in the artwork would lead straight to
disqualification.
3. Participants are requested to finish their artworks in the given time frame. (May vary from
event to event.)
4.Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
5.Judging criteria will vary for each event and will be mentioned in the description of
individual events.
6.The judge's decision will be final and binding.
7.Link for submission of the artwork will be provided in the WhatsApp group and will stop
accepting any entries after the completion of the Submission Deadline.

General Rules(MILAN DAY LIVE EVENTS on zoom meeting):


1. The link to the competition will be provided 45 minutes before the competition.
2. All the participants are requested to report 30 minutes before the competition.
3. All the instructions related to the competition will be provided 20 minutes before the
competition.
4. The theme for each event will be notified 5 minutes before the competition.
5. All the participants are requested to be prepared with all the materials beforehand.
(The list for which will be provided in the individual event descriptions.)
6. Participants won’t be allowed to leave their screens in between the competition for
any reason.
7. Any form of vulgarity, profanity or nudity used in the artwork would lead straight to
disqualification.

9. Judging criteria will vary for each event and will be mentioned in the description of
individual events.
10. The judge's decision will be final and binding.

DANCE
EVENT NAME: Solo Western and Solo Eastern
1. The time limit for video is 50-60 sec.
2. One short video,[i.e.] No cuts, Music can be edited for solo
3. For DUO/TRIO video and music can be edited,[i.e.] two/three-person can perform on-
screen or one by one
4. The video should be landscape
5. The track should not contain any obscene, lewd or vulgar language
6. Vulgarity or Obscenity during a performance or in costume will lead to
disqualification
7. The performance will not include likes, comments and share
8. Judgement will be based on choreography, expression and execution
9. The judge’s decision is final

MUSIC

Rules for Video entry:-


1. All Events will consist of two rounds one is based on a video submission and the final
round being based on live performance.
2. No participants will be allowed to display controversial or offensive hand gestures and
doing so will most certainly lead to disqualification.
3. Exceeding the time limit will lead to mark deduction.
4. No profanity of any sort will be allowed during the performance.
5. The participants will be shortlisted and contacted for the next round of events if eligible.

EVENT NAME: VIBRATO-WesternSolo:-


A competition based
on the western vocal skills of a singer. It will focus on the different skills
of a singer to render a song.

TEAM SIZE: 1 PARTICIPANT


TIME LIMIT: 3 MIN
JUDGING
CRITERIA: Range, Tempo, Clarity.

Rules:-
1. Time limit for each performance is 3 min.
2. Each participant must have a college ID for verification during Milan registration.
(registration no. should be given for instance if you don't have your id cards).
3. All performances must be in English or any European languages. Usage of any other
language can lead to disqualification.
4. A single accompanist or a karaoke (Instrumental) will be allowed. (You should mention if
you’ll be using karaoke).
5. NO post processing of any sort on vocal tracks shall be allowed. 6. The song selection of
the participants should be mentioned. (i.e. Which song you have selected, original
compositions should also be mentioned).
7. The reliability of internet connection will be the participant’s responsibility.
8. The decision of the judges will be final.

EVENT NAME: Alankar-EasternSolo:-


A competition based
on the Eastern vocal skills of a singer. It will focus on the different skills
of a singer to present Indian music.

TEAM SIZE: 1 PARTICIPANT


TIME LIMIT: 3 MIN
JUDGING
CRITERIA: Range, Tempo, Clarity.

Rules:-
1. Time limit for each performance is 3 min.
2. Each participant must have a college ID for verification during Milan registration.
(registration no. should be given for instance if you don't have your id cards).
3. All performances must be in Indian languages (Hindi/Tamil/Telugu/Kannada/others)
only.
4. A single accompanist or a karaoke (Instrumental) will be allowed. (You should mention if
you’ll be using karaoke.
5. NO post processing of any sort on vocal tracks shall be allowed. 6. The song selection of
the participants should be mentioned. (i.e. Which song you have selected, original
compositions should also be mentioned).

An event to
understand and appreciate music with the use of just one instrument to put
forward soulful renditions.

TEAM SIZE: 1 PARTICIPANT


TIME LIMIT: 3 MINS
JUDGING
CRITERIA: Tempo, Sound Dynamics, Clarity, Improvisation and Execution.

Rules:-
1. Time limit for each performance is 3 min.
2. Each participant must have a college ID for verification during Milan registration.
(registration no. should be given for instance if you don't have your id cards.)
3. The instruments of all the instrumentalists performing should be visible.
4. No post processing on instruments shall be allowed except for living distortions or any
effects a guitarist might want to add with effects processors (with all the effects processors in
the display).
5. Backing tracks on Instruments shall not be allowed (Except for Drums).
6. Song selection of the participants should be mentioned. (i.e. Which song you have
selected, original compositions should also be mentioned).
7. The reliability of internet connection will be the participant’s responsibility.
8. The decision of the judges will be final.

EVENT NAME: SPINBACK-DJBattle:

An event to showcase DJ-ing skills and techniques to


enthuse the audience. TEAM SIZE: 1 PARTICIPANT
TIME LIMIT: 7 MINS
JUDGING
CRITERIA: Creativity, Track Selection, Techniques and crowd response.

Rules:-
1. A time limit of 5 min fixed per set, although there is no limit on the number of tracks that
can be used.
2. After the set, judges will score the participants on a scale of 1-10.
3. Top two highest scores will compete in the final round.
4. The top two DJs will have 10 min to impress the judges and the crowd.
5. Final results will be decided based on the judges’ scoring and the crowd’s response.

How to perform:

VIDEO SUBMISSION STANDARDS

 Film the measuring process for the wall-walk tape marks.


• Videos must be uncut and unedited to accurately display the performance.
• A clock or timer must be visible throughout the workout.
• Shoot the video so all exercises can be seen meeting the movement standards.
• Videos shot with a fisheye lens or similar lens may be rejected.
• Do NOT use a countdown timer.

Gaming: -

VALORANT

a. Tournament fixtures:
The teams will be divided into 4 groups of 4 teams each, the making of these
groups is done randomly on an online group generator. The teams will be
given their match timing at least 1 hour prior to their respective matches, and
an extra time of 10 minutes shall be given for all the team members to join, if
failed to do so the opponent shall be given the win.

b. Game mode:
The matches will be held in a custom lobby’s tournament mode, all rules there
shall be followed i.e. first to 13 rounds win, 12 round half and first to have a
lead of 2 in overtime wins.

c. Spectator:
All the matches will be spectated by the organizing members, if someone
caught cheating, they will be booked under malpractice xD, no they will be
disqualified at that moment and the opponent would be given the win.

d. Map selection:
The group stage matches are to be a bo1, an virtual toss would be done and the
winner gets to ban a map, following the winner the loser team then bans a
map, now the winner gets to choose which map among the remaining two is to
be played.

e. Semi Finals and Finals:


The leader of each group will go to the semi-finals, and the winner of the
semi-finals will play in the finals. Both Semi Finals and Final will be played
on BO3 basis. Map selection would be done by a virtual toss where the winner
gets to pick a map following them the losing team will then pick a map and
then the toss winner will select the third and final map.

f. Toxicity:
Toxic environment is something that we don’t really support. If a toxic
conversation is noted by the spectators, the team would be given a defeat from
the current match.

g. Player Disconnect:
The matches will be played in tournament mode, so the team has a chance to
pause the timer. The maximum time given to a player's return is 5 minutes, if
the player doesn’t join back in time the match would be continued with a 4v5
or so on scenario.
COUNTER STRIKE: GLOBAL OFFENSIVE
1. The game must be Steam activated. Cracked games are not allowed.
2. Each team must have 5 players , the list must be submitted with full details
before the match.
3. The fixtures will be pre decided and will not be changed.
4. Maps:
The map pool will always be the Active Duty map pool and therefore might be
update before each tournament:
a. de_dust2
b. de_nuke
c. de_vertigo
d. de_train
e. de_mirage
f. de_inferno
g. de_overpass
5. If a player drops the server will be paused at the end of the current round and
round will be restarted.
6. Map will be selected by the winner of the toss and the losing team of the toss

9. 5 mins will be provided for warm up before the match.
10. The starting amount will be 800$
11. Cheating will result in direct disqualification of the team.
12. Abusing or violence will not be tolerated.
13. Disrespect towards any player or admin will also result in direct
disqualification.

RAINBOW SIX SIEGE

General Rules
1. All matches must be played in their entirety unless both teams agree to
postpone or cancel the match.
2. Randomized maps MUST be used. Verbal agreements will not receive staff
support.
3. A "Lag Test" is not required unless the non-hosting team requests one be
completed. This is a test round that doesn't count and uses the standard game
settings that will be used during the match. For the lag test, a map that is not
scheduled for play must be used. If the game lags during this test, a new host
must be chosen. If both teams cannot agree on an acceptable host, a ticket
must be submitted by both teams to cancel the match.
4. Teams may not delay the match for more than 5 minutes between each
round/map. A round is defined as a stopping point during the match when
match settings may be altered, and/or players may switch sides or change
equipment.
5. Hosting Rules:
The higher ranked team on the ladder will host the first map. The lower ranked
team will host the second map. Hosting will alternate between both teams until
the final map in which the team with the most combined round wins from all
prior maps will host the final map. In the event of both teams being unranked,
the team with the Team ID closest to 1 will serve as the higher ranked team. In
the event of combined tied rounds, the team who is closest to #1 on the ladder
will host the final map. The team that is not hosting gets to choose which side
to start on.

6. Disconnection Clarification:
The preparation phase is included in the first 30 seconds of the game.

7. Exploit Clarification:
Using Castle Armor Panel with Deployable Shield is a loss of that round for
the Defenders.

8. New Operators:
The New Operators are allowed for use at this time.

9. Defence Locations:
In the event, a game has to be ended and restarted, a team may not choose the
same Defend point on their next defence attempt if they successfully defended
it. For example, if a team successfully defends Master Bedroom on House and
the game has to be restarted, that team may not choose that location on their
next defence attempt. Violation will result in the loss of that round.

EventName: SandSculpt

Event Description:A sand art making competition in which the participants will have to
showcase their sand sculpting skills to prepare an
Art/sculpture pertaining to the themes chosen. The contestants can do the sculpting indoors
as the sculptures are expected to be small in size or it can be
done outdoors, depending on the choice of participant.

Theme:
1) Astrophilia (Sculptures related to space and celestial bodies)
2)Social( Sculptures to call out on any social issue and raise awareness)
3)Women empowerment( Sculptures to raise awareness on empowering women and
showcasing the immense role women play in shaping our society)

Rules
 Maximum time allowed per contestant will be 90 mins.
 Along with sand, contestant is free to use any art material of his/her choice to
improve his sculpture further.
 The contestant’s camera should be on throughout the duration of the event.
 There is no boundation on the size of the sculpture that a contestant can create.
 Scores will be awarded based on the contestant’s creativity, final sculpture and
adherence to theme.
 A participant will be allowed to make 1 or 2 sculptures based on his choice but the
combined time limit should not exceed 90 minutes.
 The judge’s decision will be final and adhered to under all the circumstances.

to perform in bare body and for girls, dress should be below or knee length, no deep necks.
6. Judges decision will be final.
7. Participants should participate in a disciplined and diligent manner throughout the
competition. If any participant over rules they'll be eliminated.

RULES
Individual participation.
Participant will pick a number that will give them the character of a celebrity guest
One moderator and 2 participants will go live together and play their respective roles,
preferably in character.
Preparation time - 2 hours
On stage time - 5-10 minutes
Language permitted - English and Hindi.
Vulgarity and obscenity will not be tolerated.
All participants must submit their proper details along with college id proof.
Judges decision is final and binding.

3.Nano tale
Nano tales have taken the internet by storm, for all the right reasons! Long story short, nano
tales have captured our hearts and attention.

RULES
Individual participation.
Word limit - 6-20 words
Theme will be announced on the instagram account - @srm_litsoc .
Nano tales must be submitted to an online portal.
Languages permitted - English.
Vulgarity and obscenity will not be tolerated.
All participants must submit their proper details along with college id proof.
Judges decision is final and binding.

4.Debate
Team Event – Team of 3

Preliminary Round: Oxford Debate

1. TWO of the three members of a team will be participating in this round.


2. One speaker will be proposing (FOR) the motion while the other will be opposing
(AGAINST) the motion.
3. Topics shall be declared 10 minutes prior to each debate.
4. Time limit- three-and-a-half minutes per participant.
5. Language – English.
6. Any form of vulgarity and profanity WILL NOT be tolerated.
7. Teams can internally decide which two speakers will represent them for this round.

ROUND 2: MODIFIED WUDC FORMAT


1. Each debate has two teams, comprising THREE speakers.
2. One team is the Proposition, affirmative or the government. The other team is the
opposition.
3. Each speaker speaks once for 5-6 minutes and they alternate from proposition to
opposition (refer list below).
4. After each team has spoken once, they have one 3-4 minutes reply speech. The reply
speech is presented by the Opposition team, followed by the Proposition’s reply speech. The
reply speeches can be given by the first or second speaker on the team.
5. The speakers will be allowed to take as many point cards or sheets of paper as they
may require for reference. However, reading from prepared speeches will be definitely
penalized.

Speaker Roles (In Order)

• Prime Minister (PM)


Defines the topic, establishes the issues for the debate, outlines the Proposition’s case,
announces the case division between the speakers, and presents his or her part of the
Proposition’s case.

• Leader of Opposition (LO)


Challenges the definition if necessary, presents an alternative definition if the definition is
challenged, responds to the Proposition’s case, outlines the Opposition’s case, announces the
case division, and presents his or her part of the case.

• Deputy Prime Minister (DPM)


Deals with the definition if it has been challenged, responds to the opposition’s case, and
continues with the Proposition’s case as outlined by the Prime Minister.

• Deputy Leader of Opposition (DLO)


Deals with the definition if it is still an issue, responds to the Proposition’s case, and
continues with the Opposition’s case as outlined by the leader of the Opposition.

• Chief whip, Proposition


Deals with the definition if it is still an issue, responds to the other side’s case, elaborates on
the team’s case, but does not present any new argument.

Deals with the definition if it is still an issue, responds to the other side’s case, elaborates on
the team’s case, but does not present any new argument.

• Reply Speech, Opposition


Sums up the team’s case, including responses to the other side’s overall case, presents no new
arguments, may respond to an existing argument without presenting a new analysis, and
proves how the Opposition has won the debate. Either the LO or the DLO can deliver this.

• Reply Speech, Proposition


Sums up the team’s case, including responses to the other side’s overall case, presents no new
arguments, may respond to an existing argument without presenting a new analysis, and
proves how the Proposition has won the debate. Either the PM or the DPM can deliver this.

Points of Information
1. Between the second and fifth minute of a speaker's substantive speech, members of
the other team may offer Points of Information.
2. No Points of Information can be offered during the reply speeches.
3. Points of Information need not be addressed through the person chairing the debate,
and may be in the form of a question/statement.
4. A Point of Information should be briefly worded.
5. The speaker has the absolute right to refuse to accept a point of information, or to
accept it only at the end of the next sentence.
6. A speaker must accept at least 1 point of information in his or her speech.
7. The response by the speaker to a point of information will be included in the mark for
that speaker's speech.
General Instructions
1. The topics for the finals will be given 15 minutes prior to the debate.
2. Vulgarity of any form will not be entertained and will lead to immediate
disqualification.
3. The finals shall be knockout rounds.
4. The judges’ decision will be final and binding.
