The UB1A has a spring-loaded latch that can be opened
and closed with a hot stick. The 7” sheave has a Safe
Working Load (SWL) of 2,500 LBS and is available in polished
aluminum, ductile iron and urethane lined. This block can
accept a maximum conductor Outside Diameter (OD) of 2” and
can be either lug mounted or suspended. The UB1A is also
available with an optional grounding stud.

Ductile Iron, Urethane Lined
The UB1C has similar properties to the UB1A but is secured
with a detention pin that can be pulled for easy operation.
When pulled, the head of the block opens, exposing the entire
sheave. The 7” sheave has a Safe Working Load (SWL) of
2,500 LBS and is available in polished aluminum, urethane
lined and ductile iron. This block can accept a maximum
conductor Outside Diameter (OD) of 2” and can be either lug
mounted or suspended. The UB1C is also available with an
optional grounding stud.

Urethane Lined

The BDB Series Blocks are capable of handling two or three

conductors. Each sheave has a Safe Working Load (SWL) of
3,000 LBS. This block can be either suspended or mounted
with it’s integrated cross-arm bracket. This product is to be
used in conjunction with the BRDB-3 Running Board
(featured on page 15).

BRBDB-3
SWL: 10,000 LBS
The BRBDB-3 Running Board is to be used in conjunction
with the BDB Series Distribution Bundle Blocks (featured on
page 14). This running board can accommodate up to three
conductors. The C10 (10,000 LB) heavy duty line swivel at the
front end of the running board, is connected to the pulling line.
The phase conductors are attached to the BB-4 (4,000 LB)
line swivels at the rear of the board. Refer to pages 35-36, for
additional information on swivels.

HLB-N-1000
SWL: 1,000 LBS Rope Size: 5/8”
The HLB-N-1000 is manufactured using a non-magnetic,
nylon material, which is lightweight and corrosion proof. The
3” sheave can accept up to a 5/8” diameter rope and is rated
at a Safe Working Load (SWL) of 1,000 LBS. It’s unique orange
color makes it highly visible on the job site. This product is
available with a safety hook, meat hook (small or large) or
no hook.

The HLB-1250 has a Safe Working Load (SWL) of 1,250 LBS

is profile machined to exact tolerances and can accept up
to 5/8” diameter rope. This product is available with a safety

Our Handline Blocks can be purchased with optional
accessories or as part of a kit. Our Handline Block Kit can
be customized based on the desired rope length and can be
outfitted with a double eye hook and/or a safety snap hook.
Our standard rope lengths are 40’, 80’, 100’ and 150’ (custom
rope lengths and styles are available upon request).

SWL: 200 LBS

The lightweight PTB-1 screws down onto a standard top pin,

with two polished aluminum rollers, supporting the conductor
or the pulling line. A 1” threaded insert comes standard on the
PTB-1, however a 1-3/8” insert is also available. The Pole Top
Bracket accepts up to a 2” conductor and has a Safe Working
Load (SWL) of 200 LBS.

SWL: 5,000 LBS Rod Size: 1/2”- 1-1/4”

The BPE-1 is cast from high-strength steel and is finished with

zinc plating for corrosion protection. This product has a Safe
Working Load (SWL) of 6,000 LBS and is adjustable for rod
sizes between 1/2” to 1-1/4” in diameter. The large offset eye
is designed to accommodate the hook of a three ton hoist,
leaving the anchor rod eye free for the attachment of dead end
guy wire devices.

The JIB-45 is designed for use on jib-booms for bucket trucks

and other material handling devices. It has a Safe Working
Load (SWL) of 2,500 LBS and can accommodate a rope size
up to 1” in diameter. This JIB-45 is easily installed using the
locking detention pin.

The BTGD-1 fits helicopter or full-frame blocks ranging from
12” to 35”. This attachment is spring-loaded to keep the roller
in constant contact with the conductor. The BTGD-1 was
designed for use with mesh grips and swivels, allowing them
to pass through in either direction.

The BTTV-31 Series Blocks have an extra-large contoured throat

design which allows for safe, smooth passage of swivels, grips,
splices and twisted pair conductors (T2 or VR2 ). This series
has an optional bolt on stand accessory to further enhance the
versatility of the block. Not only will the stand allow the block to
be placed upright, but also allows it to be secured at an angle for
corners. This block has a highly-visible, easily removable fly arm.
The BTTV-31 sheaves are available in both polished aluminum and
urethane lined ranging in size from 10” to 46”. The Helicopter Single
Block is available with a spring-loaded grounding arm and roller.

The BTS-1 is a light-weight, durable block designed for

installing static line. This block is available with sheave sizes
ranging from 6” – 14-1/2” and can accept wire sizes as large
as 1-3/16”. The extra-large contoured and guarded throat
allows swivels and grips to pass safely through during the
pulling operation. The compact design allows the traveler to
be used in confined locations.

Sheave: Urethane Lined

The BTHA-S1 features double helicopter arms for easy

placement of static wire. A hook on the outer end of each arm
prevents the fly line from sliding off in uplift or down wash
conditions. This block can either be suspended or mounted
using the integrated tower attachment. The 10-1/2” sheave is
coated with an extra layer of urethane to protect it from the
abrasive properties of the static wire.

 LINE SWIVEL
SWL: 1,800 - 30,000 LBS
Line Swivels are specifically designed for pulling overhead or
underground transmission and distribution lines. Each swivel
is stamped with the Safe Working Load (SWL) which is not to
be exceeded. If the SWL is exceeded, the swivel should be
taken out of service and be replaced with a new one. Bethea
Swivels are designed to pass safely through blocks but should
never travel over a bull wheel. This product line is available in
SWLs ranging from 1,800 – 30,000 LBS.

CONNECTORS
SWL: 1,800 - 30,000 LBS
Non-Rotating Connectors are specifically designed for the
attachment of three-strand pulling rope to a conductor or
running board. They may also be used for connecting two
ropes or conductors of the same size, type and lay.
Non-Rotating Connectors are designed to pass safely through
blocks and bull wheels. This product line is available in SWLs
ranging from 1,800 – 30,000 LBS.
