Operation
Monitoring begins when the coiled cord of the wrist strap is
plugged into the monitor or remote jack. The status of a wrist
strap resistance is indicated by a the bicolor LED and audi-
ble Alarm:

Stand-by indication.
If the wrist strap is removed or not being worn but is still
plugged into monitor, an audible alarm will sound for 4-6
seconds, and the “OP” (operator) led will be will be blink
RED.
Normal indication.
For normal operating resistance “OPER”/”BENCH” led will
be GREEN.
High alarm.
If the operator wrist strap or worksurface mat’s resistance is
higher than maximum, the corresponding led will turn RED
and audible alarm will sound.

The CM410 is factory calibrated and fixed. It does not re-
quire re-calibration. It is recommended to verify proper op-
eration with the CM410PV verification unit available from

Model CM410PV

VERIFICATION PROCEDURE FOR CM400, CM410, CM420:

1. Connect your Constant Monitor: CM400, CM410, CM420 to power.
2. Plug the CM410PV CPT GROUND lead (cord with Male Banana Plug on the bot-
tom of the unit) to the common ground at the workstation.
3. Connect the CM410PV BENCH GROUND lead (cord with Male Phono Plug on up-
per left of unit) to the Constant Monitor BENCH plug-in. (2)
NOTE: The CM400 does not monitor the work surface bench ground. Disre-
gard this step when testing the CM400.
4. Plug the CM410PV OPERATOR lead (cord with Male Banana Plug on the upper
right of unit) to the Constant Monitor OPERATOR input (CM410: on the body of
the monitor. CM420: To one of two Wrist Strap Remote Jack).
5. Press the green OPERATOR push & hold button on the CM410PV and the OPER-
ATOR led on the constant monitor should change from a blinking red to green.
6. Release the CM410PV’s OPERATOR push button and the OPERATOR led on
the CM410 should change to a blinking red, with momentary beeps.
7. For the CM420: Repeat steps 4 - 7 with the second OPERATOR input
8. Press the red BENCH push & hold button on the CM410PV and the BENCH led
on the CM410 should change to red, with constant beeps.
9. Release the CM410PV’s BENCH push button and the BENCH led on the CM410
should change to green, and the beeping should stop.
10. If the monitor did not pass as per the test procedure call Transforming Technolo-
gies at (419) 841-955

Please note: Allow 5-10 seconds for the constant monitor to react to the testing. The
constant monitor needs time to sense the changing resistance levels.
