1. Trip hazard.

Figure 1: Sign of trip hazard.

On the UTM, wires and hoses have been connected, posing a tripping danger.
To avoid stumbling over these risks, safety steps must be followed. When
working around the testing equipment, ensure employees pick up their feet
instead of dragging them and keep an eye in the route od travel for any
obstructions that might pose a trip hazard.

2. Lifting hazard.
The Universal Testing Machine (UTM) is a task that entails lifting large
objects, which can result in personal damage such as muscle discomfort, joint
pain, and tendons. In this scenario, a forklift will be needed to raise and
position the UTM. Before lifting an object, determine its size and weight, and
follow these general lifting guidelines:

ii. Get a good hold by bending your knees.
iii. Keep your back straight and raise your legs straight up without
twisting, it is critical to raise with your legs rather than your back.
iv. If an object is too huge or heavy to lift on your own, ask for assistance.
All machine operators such as apparatus should be thoroughly trained
and licensed if mechanical help is necessary to accomplish the lifting
tasks.
v. Never carry heavy objects higher than shoulder level. Rolling platform
ladders are provided and available for certain purposes, and they
should be used.
