Brought Apart-Prologue

Today was the day sisters Rosalyn and Ramona were

going to meet for the first time in 20 years. Torn apart
through adoption when Rosalyn was only 2 and Ramona
was 4, the two were unable to keep in contact as Ramona’s
adoptive parents completely closed her off from the
outside world, even home-schooling her. Meanwhile,
Rosalyn’s adoptive parents were very supportive and tried
to get in touch with Ramona.

19 years later, Rosalyn was in her dorm room at college,

studying, when she got a text message from her parents
saying that they found Ramona’s location and what her
phone number was. Rosalyn was ecstatic. She was finally
going to talk to her sister for the first time in more than a
decade! Rosalyn instantly added Ramona’s number to her
contacts and started to text Ramona. Over the next year,
they talked and talked about various topics from school to
family. Ramona had escaped the wrath of her parents who
actually turned out to be psychopaths who got arrested
shortly after Ramona ran away. She had started a new
life, graduating college and getting engaged. Finally,
Rosalyn had the courage to bring up the idea of meeting in
real life, and of course, Ramona agreed.
