HP Invention with plastic waste

Closed-Loop Recycling HP has been a leader in closed-loop plastic recycling for decades,
since the founding of HP’s Planet Partners recycling program in 1991.

Since 1991, HP has kept: 875 million HP cartridges, 114 million apparel hangers, and 4.69
billion postconsumer plastic bottles out of landfills—instead, upcycling them to make new
HP products.

 As of 2019, HP had already reduced plastic packaging by 5% since 2018

 9% of plastic used in HP personal systems and print products in 2019 was from
postconsumer recycled sources.
HP has honed its expertise in closed-loop recycling manufacturing over decades. We
have now applied that knowledge to build a supply chain in Haiti to help address the
challenge of plastic pollution—on land and in the ocean. We have already diverted
more than 60 million bottles from reaching the waterways and oceans—instead
cycling this postconsumer material into our supply chain and into new HP products
 Recyclable Materials- HP made its first ever consumer PC using plastic waste in
ocean, a move that builds on the company’s sustainability commitment. Newly
launched Pavilion 13, Pavilion 14, and Pavilion 15 Laptops were manufactured using
ocean-bound plastics.
 HP estimates that the use of these plastics in devices will keep around 92,000 plastic
bottles out of the oceans and landfills. The outer boxes and fibre cushions used to
pack the products are also 100% recyclable material.
 Cost- HP Pavilion 15 with a screen size of 15" will be available in Silver, Ceramic
White and Fog Blue colours. It will come at a starting price of Rs 69,999, in i5 GFX
powered with Iris Plus GFX.
 Battery Life- The Pavilion 13 has a full HD display with up to 8.5 hours of battery
life, while the Pavilion 14 and Pavilion 15 offer either HD or full HD panel with up to
8.75 hours of battery life.
