Opening Prayer
'Good evening ladies and gentleman, friends and loved ones, welcome to Jhoane and
Nikko's Nuptial Dinner Reception. My name is Erica, and I will be your Emcee tonight and
the couple would like to extend their thanks for attending their nuptial celebrations
tonight.'

So I may ask that everyone make their way to their seats and make your selves
comfortable as we begin our celebration with a wedding prayer.' Let us all rise, bow our
heads and let us pray

A WEDDING PRAYER

Lord, behold our family here assembled.

We thank you for this place in which we dwell,
for the love that unites us,
for the peace accorded us this day,
for the hope with which we expect the morrow,
for the health, the work, the food,
and the bright skies that make our lives delightful;
for our friends in all parts of the earth.

Amen.

Alam ko na nagugutom na kayo? Gutom naba kayo? But first, let us all pray before we eat our
lunch/dinner.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for the great event and great opportunity you have given us today,
may this wedding be filled with joy and gladness. We are praying also for the food, may you cleanse this
and give us strength as we continue the ritual later on. This we pray, In Jesus Name. Amen
 Oops, wala po munang uupo, gusto ko po munang magkaroon tayo ng wedding vow din muna =
bago tayo kumain. Ilagay ang kanan kamay sa dibdib, at sabihin ang mga katagang ito.

III. Father of the Bride Speech

Please take your seats as we hear a few words, a prayer of thanks for God’s grace, a
simple message, the Father of the Bride – Renato Dela Cruz!’

Thank you tatay Renato for that message, for our groom and bride.

IV. Cutting of Cake

Let us now proceed for the cutting of cake. The cake cutting represents the first activity
done as a couple. So I’d like…(Jhoane)…and…(Nikko)…to walk around to the front of the bridal
table to perform their first duty as husband and wife.”

Para sa atin of cake, the couple will cut the cake holding the knife together. After it
was cut, you kiss, alright?

And then ang unang susubuan ng cake is si groom, so si bride ay kukuha ng cake at
isusubo kay groom, then si groom naman din ay kukuha ng cake at isusubo kay bride.
Naniniwala ba kayo, na nasusukat sa laki ng slice ng cake ang pagmamahal nyo sa isa’t-isa,
de joke lang.

Now all of those taking pictures, be sure you’re ready for the photo-opportunity. Groom make
sure you have a firm hand on the cake with your beloved bride. ‘

V. Best Man’s Toast to Bride and Groom

As you all know, it is customary for the best man to reveal rare insights into the make-up of
the groom, to share with us, the inklings that make our beloved groom Nikko, the man he is. In other
words, an exposè! Let us give Joel Dela Cruz around of applause. Isama na din natin ang ating maid of

 VI. Couple’s First Dance

We now come to that very special part of every wedding party, steeped in symbolism. The
Bridal Waltz. This is the moment when the groom walks his bride to the dance floor and they begin a
dance that will last the rest of their lives. Put your hands together for Jhoane and Nikko as they begin
their first dance as husband and wife.’

And pwede po bang tumayo ang mag-asawa, magjowa, magkaibigan, to take your partner and
dance with them. Sabayan naman natin sumayaw ng slow dance ang ating mga couple.

VII. Boquet Throw

Thank you so much, I think it’s time for the traditional throwing of the Bouquet.

But before that, may I request all single ladies to go in front and let us play a fun game
called, trip to Jerusalem.

At isang upuan lang. At isang lalake na gusting magvolunteer din na uupo sa ating
mahiwang upuan.

Ganito ang mechanics,

Magpapaikot kayo kay ____, at ang paraan lamang para makaupo ay kunin ang talong
kay ____ pag nagstop na ang music.

VIII. Garter Retrieval

Before we go on with the Garter Toss, the groom is to retrieve the garter from his bride. So may we
request Nikko and Joanne to please come center stage and do the garter retrieval ritual.

(A chair is brought onstage for the bride to sit. while groom kneels down at the bride's feet ready to
retrieve the garter)

Ladies and gentleman the groom will now retrieve the garter from the bride.

(Groom retrieves the garter from the bride. Pero syempre sexy dance muna paikot sa ating bride)

There you have it ladies and gentlemen; the groom was finally able to retrieve the garter. Let us give him
a big hand.
IX. Garter Toss
Ok it is now the gentlemen's turn and we will now do the garter toss. May I mow request all single men
to please come forward for the Garter Toss.

(INSTRUCTIONS: Emcee motions and waits for all single men to come forward)

Pero syempre bibigyan din ulit natin ng twist.

If you wanna be sitted, you have to go here in front and you’ll be dancing in the tune of the song.

DJ music please.

X. Matchmaking Ritual

May I request for the gentlemen with the quick hand who now have in his possession the garter. Sir
please come forward and take your place beside the lady who has the bouquet. Congratulations Sir. May
I have your name please.

(INSTRUCTIONS: Emcee draws the microphone to the gentleman.)

Thank you Mr. ___________, Friends lets give this gentlemen a big hand.

Now that we have already found a perfect match. The next bride and groom to be in the future. It is
time for another ritual. The gentlemen who got the garter is to put it on the lady who caught the
bouquet. At this point we would like to request Ms. __ _________to please have a seat while Mr.
___________ will put the garter. Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. __________ will now put on the garter on
Ms. _________.

(Lady takes a seat while gentleman puts the garter on her.)

There you have it ladies and gentlemen. Our new lovely pair and if it would not be too much to ask we
would like the gentlemen to give the lady a quick kiss.

(INSTRUCTIONS: Emcee waits for the gentleman to give the kiss and thanks the pair. after.)

At his point, we request that both of you remain onstage for the picture taking. The newlyweds will now
pose with our lovely new pair.
(INSTRUCTIONS: Emcee stands aside as photographers take pictures of the pair
with the newlyweds.)

Again Thank you Mr. _______ and Ms ________ for your participation, you may now return to your
seats

X. Message of the Newly Wed

The night and this celebration has almost come to an end but for our newlyweds it is just a start of their
new life together. As we each go home, may this day be memorable for all of us as it is to them. To
personally convey their heartfelt gratitude let us now lend an ear to Nikko and Joan

Well I guess that’s about everything ladies and gentlemen we have finally come to the end of our
program. It has been a great day and a wonderful evening with you all. Again thank you all for your
