1.0 Purpose
 To ensure that employees are briefed on their duties and responsibilities of their
post.
 To obtain acknowledgement certifying acceptance and understanding of job
description for each position.

2.0 Scope
 This procedure covers all complemented posts (executives and non-executives)
in New Bong Escape Hydroelectric Power Plant.

3.0 Responsibilities & Users


 Special Officer to PGM is responsible for the contents of this procedure and its
update.
 All staff are users of this procedure.
 Each HOD is responsible for preparing job descriptions for each of their staff.
 Document Controller compiles and maintains record of job description.

 MR : Management Representative
 DC : Document Controller
 HOD : Head of Department
 SO : Special Officer to Plant General Manager
 NBEHPP : New Bong Escape Hydroelectric Power Plant

6.0 Procedure

6.1 Control of Job Descriptions

 Job descriptions for all employees in the power plant are to be prepared by
respective HOD and duly approved by PGM.

 DC is to compile all the job descriptions and update their records.

 All employees upon reporting to his new posting shall be given a copy of the job
description and clearly briefed on its content by his superior. The recipient is to
acknowledge receipt the Job Descriptions and a duplicate copy is to be kept in
his/her personal file.

DO NOT DUPLICATE
 HODs are responsible to update the content of job description of his
subordinates. He then should inform the DC of such changes.

 After approval, the DC is to update the job description record and make copies for
distribution to all holders of the jobs through their respective superiors. All
obsolete copies are to be withdrawn and destroyed.

 The DC shall maintain a master list of all the Job Descriptions.
