The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari by Robin Sharma is a self-help book, which helped readers to understand

some vital principles to lead peaceful, prosperous, enlightened life and get out of their busy day to day
routine and explore the beauty of nature and one's own time out of all the chaos of the world. Robin
Sharma is an acclaimed motivational writer who has a significant impact on his reader. He has given
many self-transformation and personality development books which have always been on the list of
best-selling books. The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari itself is a best-selling book that has been printed in
more than 60 languages.

The book The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari is a fable about fulfilling one's dream and destiny. It is well
crafted and titled enough to attract readers. The story is about Julian Mantle, a high-profile litigator who
sets priorities that centered around money, power, and prestige. The story is narrated by one of his
associates, John, who admires his success and aspires to be like him.

When Mantle got cardiac arrest, he left his world behind and vanished. He quit his job, sold all his
assets, and went to India in search of the true meaning of life. A man who was around 53 years old with
all wrinkles on his face and seems exhausted all the time suddenly appears to the narrator with a young
face like 30 with all the energy and enthusiasm back. He tells him how he reached the Himalayas and
met yogi Raman and other saints who helped him find the real meaning of life and changed his
perspective.

The book gives an in-depth look at Seven Virtues Of Enlightened Learning, which he reveals one by one.
They are :-

1. Master your mind

2. Follow your purpose
3. Practice kaizen
4. Live with discipline
5. Respect your time
6. Selflessly serve others
7. Embrace the present

They all are discussed in detail in separate chapters with all the easy ways to inculcate. Most of them are
inspiring and valuable, which create a significant impact on one's life. Well, it is a story that is a building
block of our life. One will be mesmerized reading that. A well said quote that I like most is "investing in
yourself is the best investment you will ever make. It will not only improve your life, but it will also
improve the lives of all those around you."

The start of the book was good, but it went boring after few chapters. The book has some contracting
statements like Narrator mentioned Julian as a litigator, but john was convincing himself as Julian was
saying. The book has nothing new that we do not know. It is full of principles to be followed. The story is
well-penned that while reading, I felt that Julian is narrating the story sitting in front of me.
Overall, I would like to suggest reading this book for once, especially to those who are running into
chaos due to work and lack of time management.
