Although switch technology is not the most advanced, it is something that you can experiment and get
results the first time, it is not necessary to spend millions of dollars to know and discover them. To achieve
excellent results and to be able to carry out tests with these switches, homemade tools and human
techniques are required that can allow a correct development of the lubrication process (for example:
switch, lubricant, Teflon films, switch remover, thin brush and screwdrivers.

The switches have different types of structure, usually they all share construction bases that follow the
cherry MX model (one of the most commercialized models) that has three main parts, a spring-loaded
slider that allows vertical movement that accommodates activation. of the internal switch, there is also the
upper part or socket which usually has an activation point which allows understanding the reaction and
speed provided by these mechanical switches, finally there is the lower part or socket which gives stability
and a place to connect to the keyboard board (PCB), this being a printed circuit usually made of copper.

Finally, there are three types of mechanical switches, the linear, tactile and clicky (leaving aside the
membrane) and each of them has special characteristics that give different qualities to the experience and a
different lubrication treatment, which gives to know that each has different levels of friction required for
timely actuation.

 Each mechanical keyboard switch has a unique characterization that gives it the opportunity to
personalize the expression and sensation of the user when manipulating the keyboard, thus making
it clear that each one requires a differentiated treatment in quantities and areas of application so as

 A very important concept is presented by the author and is the "Lubrication" process, which is one
of the fundamental bases for the topic addressed since it is the fastest and most effective way to
vary and test different types of friction and characteristics of a switch. which allows the appropriate
development for experimentation and collection of real data.

 A very important analysis to perform is the understanding of the differentiation of the switches,
since for the subject and my research it is essential to know that friction is a factor not always
required to alter and buy a new switch or mechanical keyboard, however, If this factor could be
known and how many milliseconds of delay or delay it grants on the screen, it could suddenly not
only be considered the touch, but also the unique characteristics of each one and reinforce this
customization factor to the point that the user can understand and do use of techniques such as
"Lubrication" to play in a certain way with reaction time and sensation or experience of common
actions such as playing video games, writing, navigating through interfaces and making use of
