Job Description:
To carried out scaffolding erection, modification and dismantling for JSA Ref. No. EF 1931-O&G-JSA-02
civil work including transportation of scaffolding materials. (REV-00, 22.2.20)

Basic Job Steps
Pre - work
 Project HSE Induction and EOD training other job related
Non-compliance with KOC awareness training.
HSE Procedures  Permit to Work and Excavation Notification controls in place.
(Confined Space Permit for all excavations >1.2m).
 Pre-task TBT relevant to job hazards for every activity daily.
 Project Trainings & Safety induction / Visitor induction shall be
attended
Inexperienced / New  Ensure Heavy equipment operators, riggers and flagman
Employees/ Visitors completed third party competency training.
 Only trained and competent personnel are allowed to perform
the activities.

 Ensure all equipment are inspected and certified as per KOC.


Equipment Failures
SA.013 Temporary Mobile Equipment Procedure.

 Ensure driver of the vehicle have completed Defensive Drive


Training by the Contractor.
Non-defensive Driving  Strictly follow Company driving procedures, Kuwait Ministry of
Interior Traffic Regulations.
 Comply with Company Safe Driving procedure HSEMS-SA-016
 Seat belts worn at all times by all personnel.
Pinch points
 Unloading of loads must be carried out properly considering all
safety aspects.

 Before hauling a load make a quick walk around the vehicle to


assure all tool boxes are closed and that the load is secure.
 All loads hauled on vehicles must be surely tied down with

When hauling a load check to be sure the load stays secure
while under way. It’s necessary to pull over and re-tighten your
load periodically.

 Do not stand below or near the suspended load.


 Close supervision by a competent rigging supervisor during the
lifting operations.
 Ensure proper positioning of body parts during slinging avoid
exposing in the line of fire.
Personnel injury  Ensure emergency first aid facilities are available with the
team and presence of qualified first aider at all times whilst
works is ongoing.

Damage of equipment  Conduct regular visual inspection of all lifting gears and
mechanism of crane prior to start any lifting operation by a
competent rigging supervisor/foreman.
 Provide adequately strong and long tag lines at both ends of

 Workers assigned in working at height activities must complete


the awareness training Fall Arrest and PPE’s.
 Make sure workers to used full body harness and maintaining
100% tie-off while on top of the car parking roof or scaffolding
platform, if needed provide retractable devices for anchorage
of FBH.
Personnel Fall from Height  Make sure not to overextend body parts outside of the
guardrails of scaffolding platforms.
 Ensure all required PPE are complied with prior to start the
activity.

Conduct Tool Box Talk and brief about the job hazards.
 Ensure safe access way to work location.
Poor Access & Egress
Ensure safe access way to scaffolding platform, ladder must be
firmly secured from the top, middle and bottom.
Work at Height  Ensure only complete scaffolding platforms with up to date
inspection by competent scaffolding supervisor/inspector with
green tag are to be use.
 Avoid using mobile scaffolding platforms in uneven or soft
