RELEASING NOTES

TIMERS

Delay – Delay of the releasing of the agent


NOT delay of the releasing zone

Soak – How long the agent will release

ABORT SWITCH TYPES


(Method of stopping Release of Agent)

ULI – Release zone is activated.


NFPA
Send in person to push abort switch
Continues to count down to 10 seconds
Once released, have 10 seconds to evacuate the area

IRI – Works the same as ULI


NFPA
REQUIRES Cross-Zone function

NYC – Pushing Abort freezes timer where it is


Once released delay timer restarts at original time
When original delay expires 90 seconds added to time
Can add a maximum of 120 seconds

AHJ - Freezes where it is


Let go, goes back to the original programmed delay time

CROSS ZONING

NO - Not using Cross Zoning

YES - Minimum of 2 inputs tied to same releasing zone

Zone - Same as Yes, but with 2 different general zones

Heat - One Heat detector must be in alarm in releasing zone
