Praxis Core Exam Practice 2

Exam Requirements

We must pass the praxis testing as it is a state requirement depending in our area of licensure. It

is extremely expressed that we start practicing for these exams from your first year as teaching

students. We are encouraged to have our praxis passed before we move on to our bachelor's. As

it is also a requirement by state colleges such as UNLV, NSC, and UNR. The praxis core

academic for educators has three different subject sections. The passing scores for those subjects

are reading 156, writing 162, and math 150.

Exam Preparation

I have been preparing for the two years taking practice test online. While going to

tutoring for more hours I would like to admit. I have done all the practice tests from cset, cbest,

cspace, etc. since year one of my studies. I have utilized all the free tutoring CSN has to offer for

many hours in a day to weeks for the last two years. I do feel I am prepared but extra practice

never hurts.

Exam Results

My practice has been a bit challenging because unlike the test I took my time which is

not a good thing since we have our time is accounted for. My highest score was in reading at a

95% which is not surprising to me one of my favorites. The next highest score I would consider

math at an 87% which Is accurate. My lowest score is writing at 95%. I consider writing my

lowest score only because if I had to do the writing portion it would have significantly affected

my score. Writing is my weakness as I feel I am very illiterate when it comes to writing.

Future Exam Preparation

I will continue preparing for the praxis as I have been doing for the past two years.

Before the epidemic happened, I had planned to take all three tests. I am not discouraged as I do

plan to take them in the fall of 2021 after this semester. I will continue tutoring and challenge

myself with testing from other states practice.
