“Project Kalinga” – the word “Kalinga” is a Tagalog word that means ‘support or care’. After
witnessing the health situation of our beneficiaries from different public schools and far-flung
areas in Isabela and heard their plights… these
students needs Vitamins, Food Supplements and,
Hygiene and Covid-19 Kits, I’ve come to bring about a
project proposal to at least help these recipients who
are under-nourished students and children with
special needs with their Health and Wellness Concern
through this Project to be called “Project Kalinga”
under our Food4Success Program.
Undernutrition is the underlying cause of 45 percent
of all child deaths globally. In the Philippines, nearly
4 in 10 children growing up suffering from stunting –
a chronic condition that limits the development of
their bodies and brains and impacts on all aspects of
their health and wellbeing.
Investing in better nutrition – is proven to be one of the best means we have to transform a
child’s health, education and livelihood.
Those who live in poor and densely populated areas are also vulnerable to the outbreak. They
are the ones who cannot afford to invest in Vitamins, Food Supplements and other Hygiene and
Covid-19 Kits, stay home from work, avoid large crowds and go to a doctor if they are not feeling
well.
Project aims to;
Helping student grow to their full potential, ending the cycle of undernutrition in line with our
Food4Success Program.
Everyone deserves a chance at a healthy life.
We can make the greatest impact on malnutrition, which threatens the health, well-being, and
future of students and children with special needs, every day.

We serve the hardest to reach.

We seek out the most vulnerable and often
overlooked: students and children with special needs
who live beyond the margins.
Children Don’t Get The Vitamin C They Need
Some nutrients, like vitamin C, are not produced by
the body naturally. Families with children in rural
areas who are struggling with food insecurity are
most at risk, because purchasing or growing vitamin
C-rich foods is not always possible.
What’s in the Kit
Project Kalinga kits are composed of a 500 ml bottle
of Vitamin C, or 1 box of 100 tablets of vitamin c,
500ml of alcohol, 2 washable face masks, 2packs of anti-bacterial soaps, a clean cloth and eco
bag.
