● NYMEX is regulated by the commodity futures trading commission (CFTC)
● CFTC - Independent agency of US government for promotion of competitive and
efficient future markets and protection of investors.
● CME group’s market regulation department also conducts trade, position, account
and market surveillance.
BOMBAY STOCK EXCHANGE (BSE)
Introduction
● Established in 1875

● Asia’s first and fastest exchange in the world.

● BSE has launched India INX, India's 1st international exchange, located at GIFT CITY IFSC in

Ahmedabad.

● BSE's popular equity index - the S&P BSE SENSEX - is India's most widely tracked stock market

benchmark index.

● BSE has, for the guidance and benefit of the investors, classified the stocks into various groups.

● First in India and second in the world to obtain ISO 9001:2000 certification, BOLT system.

● Trading on the BOLT System is conducted from Monday to Friday between 9:15 a.m. and 3:30 p.m

crores.(INR).

●BSE star MF is India’s largest online mutual fund platform which process over 27 lakh transactions per

month and adds almost 2 lakh new SIPs every month.

●BSE Bond, the transparent and efficient electronic book mechanism process for private placement of debt

securities, is the market leader with more than Rs 2.09 lakh crore of fund raising from 530 issuances. (F.Y.

2017-2018).

●Stocks of group A covers more than 80% of trade volume.
