01 To explore and recognize the fundamental knowledge regarding Jupyter like cell structure, shortcut keys and the differentiation from other IDE.

02 To pick up the knowledge of how different sorts of function of pandas could be applied in analyzing data.

03 To discover how Python can perform data scraping to get and extract data from websites.

04 To learn how to read and write to CSV as well as create their own data-frame from existing data-frame.

05 To learn on how Matplotlib in Python visualises data and understand its plotting structures such as ax, axes, fig, axis etc.

EVENT DESCRIPTION
Description

Introduction on Concept of As we introduced Fintech to the students in the previous event, this workshop is going to

use pandas to process the data, and the basic Python functions. Besides, we will teach
students how to get the relevant data online, and turn it into a visualize information that
can be interpret and analyse.

Details of Activities & Mr. Ng Tsu Yao as the chairperson of the Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET) club,
Performances (Explain in will act as the speaker for this workshop. He will teaches Jupyter Basic, and identifies the
details what is the differences between Jupyter Basic and other IDE (Spyder, VS Code). He will explains how to

data scarping by using Python, through how to get relevant information and extract the

analyze from the previous section. Then we will enter into the Q&A session. students can
ask questions and the speaker will answer them.
