Good day,

We are pleased to inform the individual employees of their promotion and the reclassification
of their respective job grades effective 14 May 2021, as follows:

Because of the reclassification of their respective positions, they shall cease to be union
members effective 14 May 2021 because the current CBA covers only rank-and-file
employees. This matter has been coordinated with the union and the latter interposed, no
objection to such a move.

Since the union looks after the welfare of rights of their members, we expect that this upward
movement of the above-named employees will continue to deserve the support of the union
leadership and membership.

The management will make sure that the company shall fill up the two (2) vacated positions
on or before 14 May 2020. By this act of good faith by management, the union will not suffer
decrease of membership, the bargaining unit shall remain as it is, and there shall be no
diminution of union dues.

The filling of the vacated positions shall be exercised within the framework of law and
management prerogatives, but the CBA provisions on preference of union members’ next-
of-kin shall be given due course, provided they possess all the qualifications and none of the
disqualifications under the Company’s Manual of Hiring Protocol.

Dear Mr. President,

This is to formally inform you the following:

First, you know very well that the policy of the company is to respect all rights of
employees, including the rights to self-organization, collective bargaining, the right to
participate in policy and decision-making in matters that pertain to the rights of
workers as well as their benefits, duties and responsibilities. That is our labor relations
policy based on our core value of respect for our employees.

In accordance with these policies, and core values, we have observed from a
distance, as a non-partisan by-stander, all your actions in organizing the rank-and-file
employees who are not confidential employees and who are not members of the
managerial staff of the management.

We have been officially informed that your local union has been legally registered
with the DOLE NCR Regional Office, and your federation is officially listed by the
Bureau of Labor Relations as a bona fide labor relation with all the rights and duties
appurtenant thereto.

You have also formally notified us of the following: that your notice in our Company,
the number of employees is the following:

You have obtained the written support of 76.69% of all the members of the
proposed bargaining unit.

The management has announced to the whole company the fact of your having
been organized, registered and having the support of 6’200 out of 7’464 eligible rank-
and-file employees. Two weeks have lapsed and there had been no objection to your
actions from any other union or individual employee.

As of today, there is only one union and that is your legitimate labor organization.

Accordingly, the management has decided to recognize your union voluntarily as


the sole and exclusive bargaining agent of the only proposed bargaining unit of the
company’s rank-and-file employees in the company.
