Content Standard The learners demonstrate an understanding of the principles and
techniques of design using online creation tools, platforms, and
applications to develop ICT content for specific professional tracks
Performance Standard The learners shall be able to independently apply the principles and
techniques of design using online creation tools, platforms, and
applications to create original or derivative ICT content for use in
specific professional tracks
Learning Competencies 1. improve their knowledge on how ICT affects their everyday lives and
the state of our nation;
2. compare the differences between online platforms, sites, and content;
3. understand the features of Web 2.0;
4. understand the future of the World Wide Web through Web 3.0; and
5. learn the different trends in ICT and use them to their advantage.

a. Lesson Proper: MOTIVATION: Ask the different questions!
How many times have you checked your phone this morning?
How many status updates have you posted in Facebook or Twitter
today?
Did you use the internet for an hour after you woke up this morning?
Do you follow a celebrity via his/her social media account?
-Students will be giving varied response-
Activity “#HashtagThis”

Direction: The students will be asked to get ½ crosswise sheet of yellow


paper. The teacher will show 10 photographs of current events or
Literacy skills personalities, and students will write as many hashtags as they can think
of related to the photos.
Analysis
1. Why are hashtags important nowadays in relaying information in
social media?

Abstraction 1. Slide show discussion on the definition of “information and


communications technology” or ICT.
2. Discuss the history of ICT.
Application: “Oral Recitation”
A few students will be called randomly and going to present their
hashtags about what they have written on the paper.
V. Evaluation: #HASTAGMOLIKEKO
Students will be asked to give their
#Hashtags of a photo. Each of them
must come up with an authentic
Hashtags based on the picture
Numeracy given. They will be provided like
icons from Facebook to raise if
skills they like the hashtag their
classmates did. The someone will
be counting on the likes that has
been raised for a particular
#HASHTAG. The students will be
asked to explain why they have
chosen that #HASHTAGS. What
does the importance of getting
likes on Facebook?

VI. Assignment Ask the students to answer the activities provided at the end of the
lesson.
