FULL MULTIMODAL CONCEPT
NaviTrans is not limited to Road Transport alone: it also
offers all order entry forms and procedures for Sea, Air
and Rail transportation. The multi-movement concept
of NaviTrans even allows you to organize transport by
means of multiple ‘movements’ of any transport mo-
dus. If for example the cargo is picked up by a truck,
repositioned to another terminal by rail, where the
cargo is regrouped in a container for ocean transport to
an overseas department or agent which takes care of
the final truck delivery, NaviTrans handles it all.
MULTI-DEPOT GROUPING AND UNGROUPING
In order to optimize the truck loads and minimize costs
and delivery delays, progressive transport companies
often work with a network of terminals, hubs or
‘depots’. Therefore, NaviTrans offers a complete ‘multi-
depot’ structure. In this structure, a transport order is
recorded only once: the information is reused in all
planning stages of all individual ‘movements’ between
shipper, terminals (depots) and consignee. Complete
grouping, ungrouping and regrouping functions make it
possible to plan and re-plan cargo transfers by all de-
pots in an international network, without having to
record the same information twice. Obviously this re-
sults in considerable time savings and eliminates errors
due to double data entry.

When opening a file (accepting an order), the pre-
calculation function of NaviTrans offers a second point
of control, where services and costs are checked
against each other in order to calculate the ‘preliminary
P/L’. As soon as services and costs have been activated,
they become visible in the ‘budget P/L’. Finally, as ser-
