Unit 8: writing

Michael Morpurgo is a writer specializing in children's fiction, he wrote a story

called War Horse, which is very interesting. It is about a horse named Joey,
which was sold to the British army at the beginning of the first world war. It
was then sent to France, in a boat piloted by Captain Nicholls. But then, an
incident happened, he was killed in the fight, so the horse Joey was given to a
younger soldier, named Warren.
Joey became friends with another horse, named Topthorn, and the two had
many exciting adventures together. But a traumatic event happened, Joey and
Topthorn were captured by the Germans, their friend Topthorn was killed and
Joey was kept to work for the German army until the war ended. Joey must have
been very sad with the death of his friend Topthorn, the author has highlighted
the sadness of a horse, just like a human emotion.
Although it is only a children's novel, I really enjoyed it and was fascinated by
it. A beautiful but sad friendship story, I cried when I read it. In the end, the
story has a happy ending. It was after the war ended, the horse Joey was
returned to Albert, his original owner before being sold to the army, he must
have been very happy and happy. I really can't put it down. Honestly, I think
you should read it once.As it is so good and interesting, this is the most
memorable story for me.
