Project Idea: DIY Phone Case

I. Introduction/ Background

1.What motivated you to create this project?

Engraved with the age of the digital world, people strive to protect and decorate their
earnest possessions such as mobile phones, tablets, and other electronic devices with utmost care
and expense.

However, this adequate protection will cost hundreds of pesos. Some will offer phone cases
with the lowest price but will not cover strong assurance of consumer’s interest.

Aesthetic phone cases capture people's pockets to the limitless amount of impulsiveness,
forgetting that they can achieve protection and beauty with creativity in reusing trusted old phone
cases.

II. Project Scope

1. What mathematical concept will be applied?

Creating a creative project will require such progressive directions and tools. Concerning
the connection of art through mathematics in this project, we will use the mathematical concepts
mentioned extensively.

MATHEMATICS OF FINANCE- the finance for computing and knowing the exact amount of
different materials that we need for the outcome. Also, in valuing the saved money from creating
this project instead of buying phone cases in the marketplace worth hundreds of pesos.

CODES- specific codes will be used accordingly by each member to express the essence of art in
mathematics. The digital designs containing codes will embody appreciation towards the actual
outcome.
SEQUENCE- we will feature some enumerated collections of objects on each design depending
on our groupmates’ desire for creation.

GEOMETRICAL FORMS- as this project presents art, expect geometric forms in each
member’s design. We will offer our most significant work of art with a touch of math, heavily
assuming the appearance of geometry in every side of perfection.

2.What will be covered by your project?

These Do It Yourself Project phone cases will cover much time and effort as art and
mathematics entangled as complex elements. The goals and affirmations of this project in lowering
the expense of secured and classy phone cases will balance all the requirements in costing the
production expenses and endeavor, such as the amount of internet usage in creating the digital
designs of the phone cases, the benefit of reusing trusted old phone cases, and the application of
mathematical concepts.

In helping to produce quality used phone cases, we need to intensify our productivity to
promulgate awareness of the significance of this project “ A true beauty and security reside in
redeeming creativity with awareness.”

3. What will not be included in your project?

Whatever that does not connect to art and mathematics.

Significance of your project

Who will benefit from your project, and what will they get or benefit from your project?
There are several types and kinds of cell phone cases and covers nowadays. Aside from
improving the aesthetics of your phone, fantastic phone cases and covers offer various functions,
making them better protection. However, mobile phone users who wish to save money and enjoy
time creating aesthetically pleasing phone cases will surely love this idea and tutorial in creating
digital designs using the Canva platform.

Benefits of this project include the following;

 Add features for your phone case that are not in default phone cases.
 Reduce expenses from buying phone cases from stores.
 We are applying some fundamental concepts of math that we will remember easily through
art.
 Lessen the usage of plastic in every production of phone cases by recycling old ones.
 It can help others to differentiate their Smartphones from the other phones of the same
model.
 Improves the durability of their Smartphones and lowers the risk of external damage.

IV. Project Plan

Things to be done to accomplish the project

1.To properly execute this project, it is primarily essential that the proponents
comprehensively understand the relevant mathematical concepts stated above.
2. Conducted a meeting in choosing the content of our project plan via google meet and
messenger call.
3. Created a poll of suggestions and voted accordingly. Then, we discussed the chosen
project deliberately.
a. Access to a graphic design platform is inevitable in conceptualizing the phone case
designs which showcase the application of the aforementioned mathematical concepts. In this case,
the proponents must be literate in using Canva.
b.Coming up with phone case designs, the proponents will use their knowledge while
creatively expressing themselves accordingly.
c. Disseminate the outputs through social media, influencing creativity in the art using
mathematical concepts.
2.What would be your final output?

The final output consists of several digital blueprints of phone cases designed to
incorporate the mathematical concepts stated above. Also, a video recording of creating the designs
that will inspire others to obtain aesthetically pleasing possibilities without spending too much.
