 A preposition is a word or a phrase used before a noun or a pronoun to show its
relationship with the other words in a sentence.
 A preposition tells us four things: location, direction,time and relationship between noun/
pronoun and the other words in a sentence.
Examples:

2. The students are waiting at the bus stop.
3. The old man rides on a bicycle and goes to the park.
