1. Ribbon - contains groups (logically grouped) -> additional options at bottom
right corner of the group. (small dialouge launcher) 2. Quick access toolbar - This is above the ribbon toolbar - usually contains undo,redo and save shortcut buttons. You can also add more shortcut buttons on the toolbar by clicking on the nearby drop down arrow. For e.g., add sort ascending and then select any cell and then select this sort asc. shortcut, the entire worksheet will be sorted wrt that cell. (ii) Any tool can be added to QAT by right clicking on it. (tool - group of the ribbon) 3. Increasing the working space: Double clicking on the ribbon tab buttons will vanish the utility groups. (for e.g., double clicking on the home tab button) 4. Workbook - An excel file is called a workbook. Typically it will have 3 worksheets. 5. Status bar: The bottom most bar is the status bar. It shows the sum,avg, and count of selected data cells.
