    Insulator
    Insulators for high voltage equipment like Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) demand a high grade
    material in order to withstand thermal shock and mechanical stress. With years of experience in
    ESP services, Tai & Chyun is able to address specific need of customers in order to provide reliable
    insulators. We can provide wide variety of Insulators, both with fine porcelain or high alumina
    content to suit ESP operation requirements, with installation and maintenance supervision as well.

    Support Insulator
    Located on top of the roof beam, its function is
    to mechanically support discharge electrode
    weight and isolate discharge electrode from
    collecting plates and grounded ESP due to high
    voltage supply. The shape of support Insulator
    varies depending on ESP OEM, 3 common
    types are Cone, Cylindrical and Pillar shape.

    Rapping Insulator
    Rapping Insulator provides superior electrical
    isolation to protect personnel around the ESP
    and prevent the impact of high voltage on
    rapping motor. The designs of rapping insulator
    mainly depend on the rapping system’s design,
    whether it’s top rapping or side rapping system.

    Anti-Sway Insulator
    The main function of anti-sway insulator is to
    align and stabilize the DE frame as well as
    maintain the distance between CP and DE.
    It’s usually located at the bottom of discharge
    electrode frame.

    Lead-in Insulator
    This insulator passes through the wall from the
    T/R set to the DE suspension system transferring
    the electricity from transformer to the ESP.

    To get the right insulator for your ESP, please provide:

     Sizing (OD, ID, thickness)


     Number of leaves (for corrugated styles)
     Technical Drawing
     ESP OEM
     Operation kV and Temperature (°C – To determine grades & material of Insulator )
