PHILOSOPHY IN LIFE

My philosophy on life is that you should live while you are alive and you should give
others
that same privilege. We shouldn’t judge people for the choices they make, because we all
make bad
decisions. You should do what you want with your life, as long as it makes you happy and
causes
No harm to others. Happiness is all we can hope for in this world and we have to strive to
achieve it.

We should help people when we can and graciously accept failures when we have to. As
a
student I encounter a lot of struggles during my school days having a bad grades struggling to

learn to other subjects, but all of that is not that hard at all when I learn how to motivate

myself being an. Inspiration to others who is struggling to their studies and I learn how to

manage my time as I student. I experience many failures to any subjects but instead of having

a breakdown I keep going to finish all the things that I need. Because all the failure we

experience have a prize to achieve the things we deserve a lot because of trying hard. We

have quotation of “Don’t judge a book by its cover” many people who is easily to judge for

them the people they just by what they wear but they don’t know that the people they’re

judging is the people who is successful in life. Many people are successful but their attitude

don’t suits to their professions. So if I achieve what I wanted for life I would not forget all the

people who support me in every struggles I had been especially to my family and friends that

always there.

INTRODUCTION

A. Importance of Work Immersion Program

Work immersion is a key feature in the Senior high school curriculum (SHS) and refers to the

part of that consist of 80 hours of hands-on experience or work simulation which Grades

11and 12 students will undergo to expose them to the actual workplace setting and to enrich

the competencies provided by the school by the school under the Supervision of the School

under the supervision of the School Head and designated personnel of the Partner. Work

immersion is the counterpart of the internship programs in the tertiary level.

The said learning experience that the students can get from it which can range from 80 to 320

hours will surely enable and help students as they familiarize themselves with the workplace

of the partner. Work immersion is a prerequisite to graduation under K-12 program. This is a

first rate on the part of DepEd, since young people like to explore and to connection with the

people, this work immersion will provide then acquire relevant skills by performing in actual

work setting.

The importance of work immersion must be seen as vital point of giving students a venue to

improve themselves through experiencing real stuff firsthand, This is the very highlight of the

Senior high School program. It helps student to acquire knowledge and experience that can

help them grow as professional individuals.

10
Furthermore, this program provides opportunities to go through the actual methodologies of a

specific job using the real tools, equipment and document. In effect, the work place becomes

a development venue for us student trainee to learn more about their close field and practice

what we have learn from academy.

B. Objectives of Practicum

The Purpose of work immersion is to acquaint the students formally to a real life work

place environment. This will help to explore the relationship between the knowledge & skills

acquired in the working situations. This enables student to understand and respond better to

the market demand

a. Give the student an opportunity to establish an interest industrial/commercial activities.

b. Provide a general work experience, so that the student can apply skills previously acquired

at the College and acquire new relevant skills.

c. Provide a foundation for prepare the student for working efficiently and productively in

industrial commercial establishment.

d. Demonstrate the broad role and importance of the technician in industry/commerece

Work Immersions prepare for the real world by training them how to work in a company and

eventually excel in a specific career. The school needs to ensure that its students gain various

competencies that would have these future professionals ready for employment. It improves

and builds new skills. Immersions will have students gain new skill sets and improve their

existing capabilities. It is also through immersion that students get to discover themselves and

jumpstart their professional growth.

11

WRITTEN
NARATIVES

Our Adviser ma’am Natividad C. Guevara and she is also our OJT

23
Coordinator she let us do our work immersion in our own barangay by conducting some
interviews in our barangay officials and in other employees by having a safety protocols like
wearing a mask. By doing our work immersion we encounter the safety protocols that every
barangay had and for being responsible for the right safety protocols due to covid-19. As we
do our work immersion we heard
every people that we interview is know how to prevent covid-19 and what was the right
things to do during this pandemic.

24
REFLECTION
PAPER

25
I have realized that this time of pandemic having a work immersion is truly
different. And hard for the students to study and have on-the job-training that really do in the
normal life because in this time of crisis we only do our work immersion in our own
barangay and just having an interview and tutor to our respondents.

But this experience gives me some knowledge from our respondents

that we interview about their experiences in this pandemic. Their different opinions about this
pandemic give me some ideas on how
they prevent and survive this pandemic.

CHAPTER 1
BACKROUND OF STUDY
INTRODUCTION

Ideology been a controversial concept is said to be a very crucial aspect of politics, not
only

as a cognitive structure of looking at the society generally and providing a perspective

formula, it

also serves as a guide to action and judgment (Dosumu, 2015). Ideology is also a powerful

instrument/tool of conflict management and self-identification. In other words, ideology is

the

engine room of any political party.

The success of any political party is determined by the degree of its political ideology
especially

in advanced democracy. The issue of ideology has been so central to the activities of
political party

across time and space that it has been regarded as the most durable convictions held in
common by
party members in respect to the most desirable

form, institutions, spirit and course of action of the state determines the natural attitude of a
party

towards every public question. (Iyare; 2003:12) Instead of ideological identification, Nigerian

political parties have been found to mobilize and associate on ethno-religious basis, which
has

had serious debilitating effect on the polity. Ethnicity and religion have acquired divisive

character in Nigeria and have been largely unhelpful in the quest for democratic
consolidation in

Nigeria.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

29
In an ideal democratic environment and saner climes with strong political parties’
campaign,

culture and rhetoric ought to be issued base. They are devoid of personal and religious
attacks.

The regulators of the political process keep an eye on the aspirants and sanction
individuals who

violate the minimum standard of political behavior.

This may not be the situation in Nigeria political environment. The nature of political
parties constitutes also constitutes a problem in the
conduct of the election in the fourth republic with the parties devoid of ideology or any

democratic principles except capturing of power for personal gain at all cost (Auwal 2015).
The

2015 General Election was marred with excessive spending which discredit the electoral
process

and led to corrupt practices in the procedure because politicians engaged in bribing of
electoral

officials, security agents and vote-buying as well as the money bag godfathers who sponsored

their godson that are not competent which led to the emergence of unqualified and poor

leadership as well as mis-governance.

RESEARCH AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The main concerns of this research are the following.

1. Ideology been a controversial concept is said to be a very crucial aspect of

politics, not

only as a cognitive structure of looking at the society generally and providing a perspective
formula.

2. The issue of ideology has been so

central to the activities of political party across time and space that it has been regarded as the

most durable convictions held in common by party members in respect to the most desirable

form, institutions.

30
Significance of study

Although, there might have been a lot of works written on the party ideology and
general

elections campaign in Nigeria but few have touched the importance of election campaigns. It

is hoped that this work will be of immense help and guide the youths of today in state in

particular and Nigeria as a whole that there is a great need to revive our various political

parties, for this will be of a great help in various stages of development in political parties.

THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK

The primary aim of this study is to investigate Party Ideology and the 2015

General Election. The specific objectives are as follows:

1.To know the extent at which party ideology has affected the 2015 General Election

2.To ascertain the link between party ideology and the 2015 General Election

3. To know the role party ideology played in the 2015 General Election.
