Entrepreneurship

You could say that this chapter and topic, was originally spurred by a
conference I presented on Sunday the 17th January 2016, whose
theme was “Entrepreneurial development, a vital tool for an
emerging Muslim community”. I thank Allah (swt) for giving me
another golden opportunity, to be used as a tool for the moulding of
some of our young minds. These will be called upon to see to the
affaires of the Muslim community tomorrow.
We pray that Allah (swt) accepts the initiative and makes it to be of use
to all those present, as well as those to whom it will be transmitted
later. We thank Allah (swt) for having created us, guided us and
protected us, despite our less than commendable attitudes, thoughts,
speeches and deeds. We will never be able to give as much thanks as
His favours and gifts demands, nor shall we be able to come close to
the slightest percentage of it.

Some remarks about the topic of entrepreneurship.

Should we talk about entrepreneurship or entrepreneurial
development? In my humble opinion, both aspects of the task are
required. On the one hand, it is almost absent in the Muslim
community, thus making the need to develop it mandatory, if we intend
to progress. In some instances we will have to do that from scratch. On
the other hand, the profession itself with all the riches for best practice,
professional bodies, international and national standards etc., will have
to be inculcated into the Muslim community, if they are to excel in this
discipline.
The question arises if entrepreneurial development or the pseudo
theme, should only be an outside tool, to be used and returned to its
outside source, or should it be an integral and inseparable part of the
Muslim community and the activities within the Muslim community. It is
very important for the best paradigm in the promotion and maintenance
of Islam that this point should be given the weight it deserves.
Otherwise those promoting it, might not even be seen as promoting
Islam as a whole. Meanwhile Allah (swt) clearly tells us in Surat Ma-ida
verse 3 [Q5:3).

3. Prohibited to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and
that which has been dedicated to other than Allah, and [those animals]
killed by strangling or by a violent blow or by a head-long fall or by the
goring of horns, and those from which a wild animal has eaten, except
what you [are able to] slaughter [before its death], and those which are
sacrificed on stone altars, and [prohibited is] that you seek decision
through divining arrows. That is grave disobedience. This day those
who disbelieve have despaired of [defeating] your religion; so fear them
not, but fear Me. This day I have perfected for you your religion and
completed My favour upon you and have approved for you Islam
as religion. But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination
to sin - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

This verse mentions the fact that He has perfected our religion for us,
completed His favour upon us and has chosen Islam for us as religion.
Meaning that Islam is complete. Everything required to practice,
understand, promote, transmit, propagate and defend Islam is within
Islam itself. Any suggestions to the contrary, will amount to saying that
Islam is incomplete and needs the help of other tools from outside
Islam. As we shall see later, an entrepreneur observes his
surroundings, analyses and tabs value out of his surroundings. To do
this requires the synergy of many disciplines, all of which are part of
Islam of course.
The theme is talking about an emerging Muslim Community. Meaning
that although the community exists as far as people are concerned, it
does not yet exist as a united, disciplined, organized and dynamic
structure. We have in most cases not been able to make the necessary
reforms, which will move us from an existence in the precolonial days
of little chiefdoms here and there, to the present situation of much
larger states striving to become Nations as well. In some areas such as
northern Nigeria, the Muslims already had a large enough
administrative existence to survive the sweeping colonial influences.
However, this was sometimes at the price of resisting all what the
colonialists brought. This meant that when political Independence and
partial economic independence came, most of the actors were those
who were transformed by the colonialists, thus mostly non-Muslims.
These were given a higher status in society and a campaign to
diabolise Islam was launched. This campaign which was formally
covert, is now open. The consequence of this state of affairs, is that
Muslims failed to integrate all the disciplines of knowledge into their
daily activities. This has been the general Trend worldwide.
So as far as we are concerned, the average Muslim is either not likely
to see any use for entrepreneurship, nor entrepreneurial development.
At best these fields of knowledge may be accepted as useful by a few,
but most likely these few may not see them as part of Islam. We
therefore have the task of encouraging those Pioneers who will be
willing to promote this aspect of Islam, not be discouraged by
rejection, scorn and despotism from the Muslim Community at Large.
Who is an entrepreneur?
It is important at this point to ponder upon who an entrepreneur is,
through what he does. This will enable us to better imagine and
appreciate the impact, which this discipline and it’s hopefully numerous
actors, will have on the Muslim Community. Several experts through
the years have given different but complementary meanings to
entrepreneurs and Entrepreneurship.
a) [Jean Baptist]: According to him, an entrepreneur is
someone who moves economic resources out of lower
into higher areas of productivity and yield. That is creating
value. This definition, enables one to see through a few
examples how such people could have a positive impact in
the community. Let us look at the first example. Right now
in Cameroon, there are huge quantities of perishable fruits
and vegetables rotting in the remote parts of the country,
due to the absence of good transport networks,
preservation techniques and equipment. This represents a
huge waste of useful agricultural production. These
products include mangoes, guavas, pawpaw, avocado
pears and many varieties of green leafed vegetables,
cereals and so on. Let us consider mangoes and maize.
Mangoes can be harvested and the following products
produced from it.
i. From the green unripe fruits, we can produce
chutney, pickles, curries and other
dehydrated products.
ii. From the ripe fruits, we can produce many
products from the kernel, pulp and skin such
as puree, which can be stored and later
processed into nectars, juices, squash, jam,
jelly and dehydrated products, such as dried
fruits, canned and frozen slices, juices,
nectars and various dried products.
iii. If you google “products from mangoes”,
you would be surprised at the large number
of products. Nothing from the mangoes will
go to waste. If a Muslim should go to one of
such villages and initiates such an
enterprise, either for himself or preferably
sent by a mosque or at least a group of
Muslims out to promote Islam, he will
definitely get the attention of those dwelling
in the village insha Allah. As a matter of fact,
a friend of mine who is an imam, called me
to say that there are lots of mangoes rotting
in his village and nearby villages in the
Bassa territory of the country. He was
wondering if nothing can be done.
iv. It can be dried and used as Islamic money.
v. It can be sold after drying.
vi. It can be transformed into powder to be used
for things like fufu and porridge.
vii. It can be used to produce starch and dextrin.
viii. Oil can be extracted from some varieties.
ix. The leaves can be used as fodder for
animals as well as the pith inside the stem.
x. The stem can be used to produce a kind of
plywood.
xi. The stalk after the grains have been
removed, can be used to grow mushrooms.
xii. The hair hanging from the maize cone, can
be used to produce a tea with numerous
medicinal properties. At the present time,
most of the plant is wasted.
b) There are many more opportunities in the rural areas.
Unfortunately, many people think that opportunities only
exist in the cities. In the appendix you can see a desk
survey for a bakery project. This was being prepared for a
remote village. The other advantage of the rural
community is that there are fewer sinful distractions. No
drugs and prostitutes etc. Even in the major cities
opportunities can be coined up, such as various
manufacturing ventures, including metal, plastic, paper
and glass recycling. Most of the gutters in the cities such
as Douala are clucked up with plastic bottles, plastic bags,
paper etc. I remember picking up a discarded economy
fluorescent bulb. The electronic variety and checking how
much the transistors, resistors, diodes and capacitors are
worth on the retail market. I came up with a figure of about
CFA 3000 which is about $6 US. Think of what you could
earn if you went around all the scrap yards just collecting
these, checking them to be sure they are still good and
selling them for half the cost of a new one. Even the
distilled water coming from air conditioners can be bottled
and sold in iron mongers shops. It is used for ironing
clothes and for refilling lead accumulator batteries in cars
and Lorries. Our entire surroundings are filled with
opportunities. We pray that Allah (swt) should stir our
young ones to discover appropriate opportunities
depending on the skills, choices, financial, material and
spiritual abilities of the person or group.
c) Entrepreneurship or the entrepreneur is defined by
Joseph Schum Peter as "A force for change (i.e.
positive change). This aspect of it will definitely go down
well with the young ones, because they are the ones who
like to rock the boat. They are very suitable to exploit
opportunities which have never been exploited before.
Thus bringing about positive change. It is said that the
computer and telecommunication industry grows in dog
years. Meaning that the progress made in a year in that
sector, would require seven years in the other classical
sectors, such as civil engineering. In the lifespan of a
human being, you can estimate the age of a dog who has
covered the same proportion of its lifespan, by dividing the
age of the human being by seven. so a 49 year old man is
as old in the human world as a 7 year old dog is in the
dog world. That is why you find many young people
managing companies like Facebook and Google.
d) Peter Dreker defines entrepreneurs as experts, smart
savvy individuals, who exploit changes and see trends as
opportunities to create ventures. For example there is an
on-going increase in the environmental consciousness of
people in the world in general. This can be exploited to
create ventures.
e) It is also defined as the pursuit of opportunity without
regard to resources currently controlled.
These multiple meanings complement each other and provides
greater clarity of one aspect or the other of the subject.
Knowledge is thought which shines from the lamp of
understanding. Moreover the truth can be considered to be
like a point at the centre of a sphere of opinion. Arrows
(different points of view) point towards this point from every
points on the surface of the sphere . So the more points of
view we consider, the more precisely the truth can be focused on
and the greater the understanding.

A historical reminder of entrepreneurship in the

Muslim community over time.
Right from the time of the prophet Mohammed (saw), the Muslim
community had an entrepreneurial spirit. They produced the
things they consumed themselves including things such as metal
objects (knives, swords, cooking utensils), fabric and leather
goods. They transformed most of their farm produce in such a
way that it could be preserved. This was done mostly by drying
(dates, wheat, barley etc.). This led to optimum use of the land
and human resources.
This was highly favoured by the fact that there was due to the
solidarity of Islam, ethics in its commercial system, the efficiency
of the judiciary and more, a level playing field. The fact that
money was Islamic money, there was no riba in their
transactions, and quality control was optimum led to a flourishing
economy.
Comparatively speaking, if we were to optimise our agricultural
harvests now, we would be producing from grains, seeds of
fruits, stems, leaves and roots many different products, including
various food varieties (conditioned in different ways and
packaged in different ways). These products include glue,
glycerine, dextrin, starch, biodegradable plastic, dried fruits,
jam, juices, sugar, mushrooms, soaps etc.
However, we seem to have lost some of that entrepreneurial
spirit, as we have now transformed Islam into mere rituals and
ceremonies, which can be observed superficially without any
deep connection to our spirit. After the generation of the prophet
Mohammed (saw), this entrepreneurial spirit grew for some time
before beginning to decline.
So that by the time of Ibn Sina, solid foundations were being laid
continuously. Many scholars brought about many initiatives. Ibn
Sina in particular was a doctor at 16, memorised the Quran at 12
and wrote over 456 books in Arabic and 23 in Persian, including
his medical encyclopaedia which was the medical reference book
in Europe for five hundred years after him. He is the one who
invented the hospital. Other scholars such as Al-Jabir who
invented algebra, Mohammed Ibn Musa Al-Quarismi who headed
the famous Al-Hikma institute were no less remarkable.
By the time of Harun Ar-Rashid (786 AD), the Muslims had
established a great empire. Harun Ar-Rashid and the Muslims of
his time initiated numerous entrepreneurial initiatives both at the
corporate level and at the state level. These included
 A metallurgical production industry in which various
metals, not only gold and silver, were being produced on
an industrial scale. Before that such ventures were usually
done by the various blacksmiths of the area.
 He launched perfume manufacture and cosmetic products
on an industrial scale. Here we are talking about natural
products, we did not have the toxic and abrasive products
we use today. Today when an industry claims that a
product to be used by human beings is nontoxic, they
mean that in the toxicity tests, less than or equal to 49% of
the guinea pigs used in the laboratory were adversely
affected or died.
They launched a
viable glass
industry. Think
how safe glass is
compared to
plastic. Today we
are irreversibly
polluting the
environment with
disposable plastic
containers, which
will not be degraded for hundreds or thousands of years. Besides
this, the plastics themselves contain many toxic elements which
would adversely affect humans beings and animals, if they are
used to contain something edible. See photo about plastic
pollution in Douala.

 They had the most advanced ship building industries in

the world at the time. It goes without saying that this went
along with the best knowledge base in the world at the
time. So the Muslims were the reference and the source of
knowledge in general. This knowledge at the time was
recognised as Islamic knowledge. Thus the various
branches of engineering, sciences, the arts and military
technology, were all recognised and valued as Islamic
knowledge. It is no surprise then that Harun Ar-Rashid
was leading an army, which had more than five hundred
naval vessels of all sorts. Some Muslim countries today
cannot even build one.
 The Muslim empire had a very efficient agricultural
system, where environmentally friendly methods and
natural selection, was used to increase the yield and
quality of farm produce. This was very far away from the
genetic modification of today, which would no doubt lead
to genetic degradation and unforeseen diseases and
anomalies in the future.
 The Islamic empire had a very ethical, efficient and just
financial sector. There was no riba and yet people had no
difficulty finding the funds to launch and sustain such a
vast economy. The cheques we use in the bank today
were initiated by Muslims. Islamic coins have been found
in archaeological sites all over the world, showing how far
reaching the Islamic economic system had been.
What then is preventing the Muslims in 2018 AD (1440 AH)
from repeating the glorious achievements of the past?
We have to realise that our enemies through history, have striven
to take the flesh out of Islam and just leave the skeleton. The
flesh is the understanding of Allah (swt), His attributes and the
examples set by all the prophets and messengers, including of
course the one through whom the Quran came. That is the
prophet Mohammed (saw). In order to understand Allah (swt), we
have to see and understand as much of His creation as possible
for any given age. That means all the branches of knowledge we
currently have and those which will come up in the future, should
be used to achieve this goal. Then we would realise, that
because of His infinite awareness, capability and attributes, we
can only have at best a very distorted view of Him. Allah (swt),
with His infinite abilities is the only one who can see all aspects
of the truth or any particular truth or fact. We thus stand to gain, if
we realise that the truth can be depicted as being a point at the
centre of a sphere or circle. Different points of view and
understandings, point to this ultimate truth from all points on the
circumference of the circle, or the surface of the sphere. So for
us to have one or two understandings and claim to poses the
ultimate truth, to the point of attacking someone else’s
understanding, who does not disturb us is an aberration,
madness, a complete wrong and illogical. it’s like someone, who
manages to find a grain of sand among people who have never
seen sand, and instead of describing his grain and what he can
do with it, he decides to pass himself off as a specialist of the
desert, with its quadrillions and quadrillions of grains of sand,
each of which is different from the one he is holding in some
respects.
Nowadays, the way a scholar, preacher, teacher or imam is
evaluated, assessed or appreciated, is no longer by logical and
rational criteria, which seeks to assess the importance,
pertinence, usefulness or volume of the knowledge he
possesses, transfers or promotes. Instead, criteria such as race,
ethnicity, language of communication, language of education,
tribe etc. are used to decide who should be responsible for what.
The Muslim population, having been stripped of the flesh of
Islamic knowledge and left only with the skeleton, is in no
position to assess what it will take to get out of this stagnation.
They (the Muslims) have been in this stagnation for several
generations, so no one alive today can remember how things
were before, or how things ought to be. The sources which could
have enlightened them, like the educational system, the media
and religious sermons (itself influenced by education, culture,
customs and the environment), are all controlled by those who do
not look at Islam favourably but want its downfall.
The purpose of many religious activities, such as reading the
Quran, sermons in the mosque before or after prayer etc. has
been lost. Muslims don’t seem to know why these activities are
carried out. Thus one sees situations in which a teacher or imam,
delivers his sermon or lesson in a language almost no one in the
congregation understands. If he knew why he was making a
sermon, he would not do that. Imagine taking that particular
imam out into a market and the same congregation is placed in
front of him. then if some merchandise is placed in front of the
imam, and he is told that if he can explain the value of these
goods and they a bought by the congregation now in front of him
in the market, then he could keep the money issuing from the
sales and take it home with him. I can assure you that under
such circumstances, he would endeavour to use the language
which will be understood by the most people, so that he could
take home as much as possible. He’d no longer use the
language he used in the sermon or the lesson. This same
phenomenon is seen in some mosques, where preaching is done
in a language only understood by part of the congregation, and
nobody cares about new converts and others who may not
understand the language. However, when the electricity or water
bill comes, the announcements to collect funds to pay these bills
are usually announced in every language. This time they really
want the message to get through, so that they can collect as
much money as possible.
In this kind of scenario, it goes without saying that little
knowledge will circulate or be used. The consequences of this
are numerous, including:
 Muslims becoming a predominantly ignorant bunch of
believers.
 Muslims will easily be sheepified 1 and manipulated into
Wars, terrorism and other social ills, having been deceived
that doing the act will guarantee them Paradise even if
they died in the process. We must realise that Jihad in
Islam has nothing to do with a holy war. Holy war
translates to Arabic as “harbu muqadassa”, not jihad.
 The transmission, practice and promotion of Islam will
suffer a serious setback.
 The promotion, gripe and the development of Islam in the
social, political, academic, intellectual, economic and even
theological domains will suffer major degeneration not
even stagnation.
The question arises as to why this distorted perception of Islam
persist for so long, despite obvious signs that all is not going well.
1
Sheepify: A word I coined to symbolise making people to behave and think like a
herd of sheep. The French equivalent is Moutonisé.
1) One of the reasons is historical inertia. When possibility
thinking had been edited out of the daily practicing of the
religion. People easily fall into the trap of repetitive
actions and blind following for generations. It becomes
then very difficult to right any perceived wrongs, because
the right or better proposition would not pass through the
current filters with which the Muslim populations views the
world around them.
2) The second reason is that any attempts at reforming the
current situation will tend to go against the personal
interests of the current leaders. And so accepting such a
reform could mean political, social, moral, psychological or
even physical suicide, on the part of the particular religious
leader.
3) The third reason is the fact that Arabs can remember the
days of Glory for their race. Where the highest and most
advanced centres of learning, civilization, technology,
economic and political systems were based on Arab
territories and Arab societies. So the only instrument
which they can now use to appear important in the eyes of
mankind is religion. Saudi Arabia alone, during the past
decades has spent over 200 billion dollars in order to
maintain a grip on Islam worldwide. But money alone is
becoming increasing less efficient as a control tool, as the
world at large wakes up and discovers the various
systems of manipulation. Even if money were used to
control the editorial line of Islamic scholars, academic
institutions and teachers, it would still proof to be
inefficient because the world is more enlightened. Slowly
then the talents promoting and bringing Islam to our age,
are either out of Arabia or they are Arabs who have
enriched their traditional views by fetching from outside
Arabia. Usually the latter find it easier to implement these
values outside Arabia. For example in Europe, America
and Asia.
4) The fourth reason is that the current Muslim leaders, as
well as the Muslim populations do not seem to take into
consideration how Allah (swt) defines Scholars and
Islamic knowledge. We are talking about verses 27 and 28
of Surat fatir. [Surat 35:27-28]. We have already
explained this verse in an earlier chapter. However for
those are only going to read this chapter, here it is again
with a summarised explanation. We see clearly that the
different branches of knowledge pretty much covers what
is available to human beings on Earth at the moment and
beyond the earth.
27. Do you not see that Allah sends down rain from the sky, and We
produce thereby fruits of varying colours? And in the mountains are
tracts, white and red of varying shades and [some] extremely black.
28. And among people and moving creatures and grazing livestock are
various colours similarly. Only those fear Allah, from among His
servants, who have knowledge. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and
Forgiving.

When Allah (swt) says do you not see? What He means obviously is do
you not ponder, think, meditate and study? And like I said above to
reflect on all the issues mentioned in the verse in order to appreciate
the greatness of Allah (swt) will require reasonable mastery of all the
branches of knowledge available to us today and in the future.
If we look at a few world renown scholars of our age and what they
started out studying in school or university, we see precisely that it is
the fact that they were not brought up and conditioned by the classical
religious perspective on knowledge, that enabled them to be able to
think outside the box and use possibility thinking to reach the heights
they reached. It must be said that those who went too far ahead of the
mass consciousness of Muslims were better than these scholars, but
were not understood and thus passed almost completely unnoticed by
the world. Like everything in the universe, the very rich are hidden and
discrete, the very knowledgeable are also hidden and discrete. This is
because their lives will be full of all manner of lobbying should they be
known by many. Some of the scholars around the world who have
made a significant impact on Islam recently include.

Sheikh Sayid Qutub. He founded the Muslim brotherhood. He
wrote the famous book ‘mile stones” amongst others. (He
studied medicine in school).
 The founder of IIIT (International Institute of Islamic Thinking).
He studied electro-mechanical engineering in school.
 Dr Zakir Naik. The founder of Peace TV, the most popular
religious satellite TV. He is also a conference presenter. Some
of his conferences are attended by over one million people. He
has talked in many countries in the world. However he has
never been to a religious institution to study Islam or any other
religion. He studied medicine in school.
 Sheikh khalid Yasin: A popular imam in the USA and also an
international orator. However, in school he studied sociology
to doctorate level.
 Sheikh Ahmad Deedat: He did general education only up to
secondary school level, but worked in a Christian library. After
dusting the books, he apparently spent some time reading
them. He later on became famous as a debater of comparative
religion on the international scene. He received an honorary
professorship.
 At the local level, we have people such as sheikh Bell
Mahmud who translated the Quran into the Bassa language.
This is a language spoken by more than two million people in
Cameroon, nearly a million in Liberia and many other places in
Africa where it is spoken, although it is not always called Bassa.
He studied computer science in school. I know him personally
and I can testify seeing him on the computer typing the
translations himself. Knowing how to use the computer has
been of more use to him and the Muslim community than
learning Arabic, or Islamic theology.
The fact that all current and future branches of knowledge is part of
Islam can be found from the almighty’s statement in the Quran surat
Ma-ida verse 3 [i.e. Q5:3], and surat al-Anam verse 38 [i.e. Q6:38].

This day I have perfected for you your religion and
completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as
religion. But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to
sin - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

In the above verse of surat al-Ma-ida, we see that Islam is complete.

So everything required to practice, understand, promote or validate
Islam is found within Islam. This is further confirmed by verse 38 of the
6th Surat [Q6:38] quoted below.
ٓ

38. And there is no creature on [or within] the earth or bird that flies
with its wings except [that they are] communities like you. We have not
neglected in the Register a thing. Then unto their Lord they will be
gathered.

In verse 38 above, Allah (swt) clearly mentions that He has not

neglected, forgotten, left out or ignored anything. Let us consider an
example. Imagine in our neighbourhood lived a very rich Muslim, who
died recently and because of the variety and complexity of his estate
and fortune, the sharing of the inheritance is particularly demanding.
Now there is a local scholar who has some knowledge of Islamic
jurisprudence, enough to share cattle to their heirs. And that’s basically
what one can do without some minimum level of general education.
You ask him. What is left when you give out half and a third of the
inheritance and you realise that he knows nothing about the
manipulation of fractions. So in the case of the rich industrialist who
died recently, our local scholar would perform rather poorly due to his
non familiarity with business administration, the banking and financial
system, the stock exchange and its activities, etc. owing to his
limitations, he cannot be just in this case. Although his injustice will not
be deliberate. There is however a computer scientist also in your
neighbourhood who is a simple Muslim. He puts into practice the five
pillars of Islam, the six articles of faith and minds his own business. He
is called upon to share the inheritance. Not knowing much about
jurisprudence, he can nevertheless contact the greatest specialists of
that discipline in the world using the computer and the internet. Now
which of the two scholars above will do a better job at the end of the
day? No doubt the computer scientist. We see here how computer
science led to a better application of Islamic jurisprudence.
The aim of this example is just to make it sink in once and for all, that
computer science, mathematics, engineering or any other discipline of
our times and the future is as much Islamic knowledge as the
knowledge of the rules of prayer and others. The sooner we
assimilate this fact, the better for Islam.
Another thing which Muslims sometimes wrongly understand, is the
issue of language. Language is a very effective tool of domination and
control. The Hindus used the Sanskrit language to sheepify the
population and control them for ages. Even now that the language is
dead, they are still using it for that purpose. The romans used Latin in a
similar way. In like manner, the bad intentioned Muslims have been
using the Arabic language in a similar way. Mind you, when this
process is launched and a ruling elite is placed, based on the
predominant criteria of language of instruction and culture, it develops
a momentum of its own, as this elite will maintain the status quo in
order to maintain and monopolise control. To this end, Saudi Arabia
has spent over 200 billion dollars over the past decades to achieve
ideological dominance.
Little do people know that a very large proportion of the creation of
Allah (swt) is telepathic and does not require any verbal or sign
language to communicate. Although between two telepathic races
unacquainted with each other, some learning has to be done to master
values, perspectives, environments, mentality and so on.
Here on planet earth, language can be verbal, through signs, chemical,
luminary and so on. Let us remember that neither Jesus (as) in Surat
Ma-ida and Surat Imran, nor the ants who spoke to Suleiman (as) in
Surat Naml, nor Abraham (as) in Surat Ibrahim spoke in Arabic. Each
spoke his own language and Allah (swt) is expressing verbally the
major aspects of their speech. As we indicated earlier, putting it
verbally already means that we are going to perceive a deformed
version of the contents of the heart of the angel who transmitted the
message, unless he could do it telepathically. Even in the case of a
telepathic communication, the angel will be restricted by the limit of
understanding of the human mind. Of course we can be guided along
to understand by other servants of Allah (swt) both visible and invisible.
However, there are also those who may be guided by less
recommended entities such as shaytan. If I say the word “ship” to a
hundred people, you can be sure of a hundred different images of a
ship in their minds, depending on culture, conditioning through
education (both formal and informal like the media), and preferences
and so on. The differences could be with respect to type, size,
construction material, colour, equipment and so on. In the conference
in Buea, where I first presented this talk on entrepreneurship, I took out
my phone and using a translation App, I spoke in English and the
phone thorough the internet translated both verbally and in writing into
Arabic and then into Chinese.
So now the question I am asking is do the Muslims understand, can’t
understand, do not want to understand or are being prevented from
understanding. I think it is a little bit of each of the above factors.
Bastians of control are quick to point out that only Allah (swt) has
knowledge of certain things. For example consider [Q31:34].

ُ ٖ
34. Indeed, Allah [alone] has knowledge of the Hour and sends
down the rain and knows what is in the wombs. And no soul
perceives what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul perceives in
what land it will die. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.
We must realize that all human knowledge is limited. However these
five things are mentioned in particular to remind us that as far as these
five things are concerned, human knowledge is even more limited than
with the other things. We only have to look at the infinite nature of the
creation of Allah, to realize that anything we humans may claim to
know, could only be with a very limited knowledge because Allah (swt)
is infinite and we are finite. Let us examine these things superficially
one by one.

a) The hour. This is talking about the knowledge of the end of the
universe. Various religions have wrongly predicted it in the past.
However, we should realise that we do not yet even understand
what time is, nor its various manifestations. So we are a long
way from talking about the end of a universe, whose outer limits
we do not yet grasp. However, that should not deter us from
things like growth rate calculations, weather forecasts, fatigue
failure of components forecasts and so on.
b) Rain. Here we are talking about nature in general. To have
perfect knowledge of it requires perfect knowledge of many
disciplines, including meteorology, mechanics and gravitation,
hydrostatics and hydrodynamics, climatology, hygrometry,
mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, geography,
thermodynamics, history and so on. We have got perfect
knowledge of none of the above. See how Allah (swt) used
some of His instruments (i.e. prophet Yusuf and the angelic
assistance) to perform a weather forecast of 15 years with
accuracy. He predicted about droughts and rain fall over a
period of 15 years with accuracy. So let us stop changing and
modifying the DNA of organisms and creating new organisms
whose long term impact we are not able to foretell.
c) The birth of a new born baby. Even after identifying all
human genes, we cannot foretell all the interactions in a
person’s life especially with the presence of freewill for every
conscious being.
d) Day to day living. We have the same limitations as with the
two above. The number of parameters which can interfere with
us every second is mind boggling.
e) Death. Nobody knows how and when he will die. One of my
female students recently had an OBE (Out of Body
Experience). She found herself standing beside her physical
body after practicing certain meditation techniques I taught
them. The physical body was lying like a corpse in bed while
the other nonphysical bodies contemplated the scene. That was
very good for her because she has experienced that part of her
which will never die. She now is sure that the physical body is
only clothing for the short life here on earth.
All of these leads to the understanding that we should recognise our
limits. The partial knowledge we acquire should not be compared with
complete knowledge which is with Allah (swt). We should also realize
that the interaction between our physical bodies, mental, emotional,
astral or energetic and spiritual bodies are far from what they should
ideally be. Moreover we are conditioned by our parents, customs,
environment, personal preferences and limitations, education and so
on. So that our perception of whatever is presented to us is distorted by
our personal “lens”. So our understanding of the Quran even if it were
transmitted telepathically, will still be distorted. Our duty is to make the
best of the distorted perceptions and always submit our requirements,
worries and aspirations up to Allah (swt) in prayer and dua. He alone is
free of distortions and He alone can see all our distortions.
So before the initiation of your entrepreneurial venture, ask Allah (swt)
to confirm its conformity with your excitement. It is by following your
excitement not money that you are more likely to accomplish your
mission on earth. Ask for an opportunity to follow your excitement, ask
for abundance and do not have any preconceived ideas about how it
will reach you, nor what shape it will take. Think of the results only for
the best good of all concerned. In order to improve the chances for
your dua to be answered, let us see what our mind set should be.
To begin with, let us examine who and what we are first. Globally
speaking, we are vicegerents of Allah (swt) in the universe but now
momentarily limited to a third density body now based on earth. See
[Q2:30]
ۖ ٓ

30. And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels,
"Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority
(vicegerent)." They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes
corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and
sanctify You?" Allah said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know."
Khalifat means we are to manage reality in the name of Allah (swt). In
order to enable us to do that, He has subdued everything in the
heavens and the earth unto us. See [Q31:20]

20. Do you not see that Allah has made subject to you whatever is
in the heavens and whatever is in2 the earth and amply bestowed
upon you His favours, [both] apparent and unapparent? But of the
people is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge or guidance
or an enlightening Book [from Him].
Also in Surat Qaf verse 38, that is [Q50:38], Allah (swt) talks about the
creation of the heavens and the earth and what is in between these
two. Meaning that the space between suns, moons, and planets is not
a vacuum or empty space. It is filled with something (the aether)

38. And We did certainly create the heavens and earth and what is
between them in six days, and there touched Us no weariness.
The most plausible hypothesis in the light of our current knowledge,
which incidentally is not what is taught in schools now in the year 2018,
is that the entire universe is filled by an aether. That is an intelligent
etheric energy field. It is the vibration of this field, which forms the
matter we can see, feel and touch. It is the accelerated flow of this
field, which is perceived as gravity or inertia forces. This etheric energy
field can respond to human consciousness. The higher the frequency
of vibration of a particular consciousness (meaning the more pious the
spirit), the greater the effect on the aether. Our link with Allah (swt) is at
the level of the spirit which is within us. So we don’t talk to Him as you
2
NB: what is in the earth includes what is inside the earth right to the centre, what is
on the surface and what is above the surface, including the other planets and moons
of the solar system.
would talk to a fellow human sitting in front of you and outside you. He
says in Surat Qaf verse 16 i.e. [Q50:16], that He knows all about the
complicated conversations within us and He is closer to us than
our jugular vein. The next verse to that (verse 17) reminds us that we
are not alone but we are constantly being monitored by angels.

16. And We have already created man and know what his soul
whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein
17. When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the
left.
The two receivers are the angels. Now for a conversation to take place
within us, there must be several parts to us. What are we made up of?
Our bodies are made up of several parts including the following.
The physical body. Well, the part of us most people consider real is
the physical body with all its internal and external organs, including
those which enable the five senses to exist and to be active. This part
of us is just a cloth for us to go through our tests in the third density
reality. Some have a black coloured cloth, others red, white, yellow and
so on. Beyond planet earth, the colours are more numerous including
green, chalk white,
stripped and more.
The astral body.
Linking to the physical
body is the astral body
or the human energy
field, which we would
call here the soul. It has
seven layers each of a
different colour, which
interacts with the
surroundings through
energy vortexes called
chakras in the east.
Following the colours of the rainbow, the chakras starts with the root
chakra, which is between the sexual organ and the anus. From the root
chakra which is red, the subsequent colours are as follows. Orange,
yellow, green for the heart chakra, blue at the throat, indigo between
the eye brows and violet on the head, where the baby has its soft spot
or fontanel. Here is a diagram of the body and the chakras in fig( ). On
the figure ( ), the astral body or soul is here inflated to better show the
different colours. It is the astral body which goes beyond the physical
body that we see as the human aura. The astral body is made up of a
combination of four inert gases. Namely helium, argon, krypton and
Zenon. See the book by Barbara Ann Brenan on the human energy
fields. The astral body has its own internal organs and passage ways.
Any illness on the astral body usually makes its way to the physical
body, affecting the part vitalised by the infected part of the astral body.
The emotional body. Then you have the emotional body, where
various emotions are managed. What happens to this body can affect
the astral body and the next in line. The mental body.
The mental body. The mental body although rooted in the brain
usually, nevertheless is spread all over the body including the auric
energy field. That is how it could happen that someone with a medical
condition called hydrocephaly, which meant that the skull was filled
with water could nevertheless succeed in having a first degree in
mathematics.
The spiritual body. The spirit is the controller of all the other bodies. It
is the spiritual body which is supposed to be the boss of the whole
system. It is rooted in the chest but also spreads all over the body. That
is why the chest is mentioned in Surat an-Naas. This body is the seat
of our consciousness.
The ideal life will be made up of a harmonious interaction between all
the above bodies in order to allow the spiritual body to progress
spiritually. That is become more and more loving of others and oneself.
Also more and more appreciative and grateful for the limitless favours
and gifts of the creator.
Let us now get back to the dua. How can we maximise its acceptance?
a) Be pious. Live a pious life and be free of negative energies in
the emotional body. Negative energies are things like fear of
creatures, hate, anger, resentment, jealousy, pride, vanity,
arrogance and so on. These all lower the frequency and
amplitude of vibration of the spirit. This is just another way of
saying that the spirit accumulates debts, karma, sins or
whatever you would prefer to call them. These things have got
an almost infinite number of different ways of understanding
them in the universe. In Islamic terms, living a pious life means
being filled and enveloped with takwa. (Piety, God
consciousness, unconditional and universal love). The Quran is
most useful to those who have it. Fasting and other sacrifices
are done to increase it. By unconditional love, I mean loving
everyone including your enemy. You know, if you wanted to find
out what your errors, weakness and short comings were, the
best person who will bring all of them out into the open for you
to face them and overcome them is not your friend but your
enemy. So even if it is only for that reason, love your enemy.
The higher the takwa, the greater the impact of a
consciousness on the universal intelligent etheric energy field.
b) Seek forgiveness. The second thing we must do to favour the
manifestation of our dua (ie of having it accepted) is to ask for
forgiveness always and sincerely. This doesn’t mean getting a
rosary or some more modern electronic version of a rosary and
repeating ten thousand times “forgive me”, as some people
have wrongly understood. It means regretting sincerely the
wrong done to others or to self, deciding never to do it in the
future, correcting the wrong if possible, like returning a stolen
property, asking for the forgiveness of those wronged, or
deciding to forgive yourself, and then asking for the forgiveness
of the Almighty Creator. See what Allah (swt) says in [Q24:31]
and [Q71:10]

31. And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and
guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that
which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their
head covers over their chests and not expose their adornment except
to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their
husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons,
their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male
attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware
of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to
make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah
in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.
Before even getting to the statement showing repentance, we see that
the acts being mentioned are considered by some cultures to be part of
one’s private life. However, since it has an effect in society, it is a
wrong which must be put right. In the second verse above, that is
[Q71:10], Prophet Noah (AS) is asking his people to seek forgiveness.
10. And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a
Perpetual Forgiver.
What happens when we seek forgiveness? Meaning we live in such a
way that we avoid hurting others and we also avoid hurting ourselves.
And when we happen to hurt others or ourselves, we are apologetic
and not haughty. . It is interesting to note that the first verse above
talks about dress codes. This means that even if the wrong we did to
someone else was to unduly expose our nakedness, we still have to
ask for forgiveness. In verses 11 to 12 of Surat 71 quoted above, we
see that this will lead to abundance for us. Although the things
mentioned there are mostly for those who are spiritually young. A bit
like we promise a candy bar to our children if they do their homework.
ٰ
11. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers
12. And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you
gardens and provide for you rivers.
Suffice it to say that asking for forgiveness leads to abundance. This
could be material wealth if the spirit so wishes, power or a life isolated
as a hermit, as the particular spirit wishes. Since we are talking here
about entrepreneurship, we should ask for abundance for us and all
around us. What is abundance? It is the ability to do what you want to
do when you want to do it. It is not necessarily money. Don’t specify
how you want abundance to reach you because you may insist on
money, when that form of abundance in your circumstances will take
ten years to reach you. Meanwhile in another form known to Allah
(swt), you could get it in ten minutes. By trying to put conditions on the
type of abundance you delay receiving it for ten years.
c) Strengthen family ties. The third characteristic which the spirit
wanting uplifting must have is strong family ties. The prophet
Mohammed (saw) said whoever wants an increase in his
provision and long life, let him honour the ties of kingship
[Bukahri and Muslim]. Family ties constitute a safety net for
everyone in society. No matter how bad a criminal is, he would
always be the son of his parents. That offers him the
opportunity to change even when his misdeeds have made
everyone, including the closest friends to distance themselves
far away from him. Family ties also offers us the opportunity to
learn to give and help unconditionally. We start with the family
where we would help not because there is a fortune to be
gained thereby but simply because he is my brother. Later we
can get to see that others with no blood ties, where we are
more likely to notice the fructification of the help we sow, as
brothers and sisters too. So our efforts could blossom into huge
trees of success for the highest and best good of all. Moreover,
by helping due to family ties we increase the number of spirits
focusing their consciousness into the universal etheric energy
field, hoping to receive through us. This by itself may well make
some of our desires to manifest faster. This is because by
keying us in as a source of abundance for them, that reroutes
more of their requirements through us.
d) Ask a good thing for the good of all. Ask for the general good
of all concerned, not the selfish, self-centred, me first or me
only approach. Something which is for the highest and best
good of all (a noble request), may be manifested even when the
requester abandons the focus near the end of the
manifestation. That is because the aether is intelligent and the
consciousness of many other foci, including some who do not
have free will join in to focus their consciousness into the aether
for the same desire and thus amplify the focusing energy. The
prophet Mohammed (saw) said ask for your brother and an
angel will replicate the same request for you.
e) Keep the request in focus in your mind. Allah (swt) asks us
to seek help with patience and prayer. It is indeed difficult
except for those who fear and are humbly submissive. [Q2:45].

45. And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed, it is
difficult except for the humbly submissive [to Allah]
What does it mean to seek help? Does it mean you fold your arms and
ask Allah (swt) to take the glass of water, put it in your mouth and
swallow it for you? No there are many parts of His creation which He
has subdued to serve us. As a matter of fact potentially the whole
universe has been subdued to serve us. See [Q31:20]

20. Do you not see that Allah has made subject to you whatever is
in the heavens and whatever is in the earth and amply bestowed
upon you His favours, [both] apparent and unapparent? But of the
people is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge or guidance
or an enlightening Book [from Him].
However, different levels of power are given to different people at
different times as a test for them. For example, some human powers
now have the nuclear capability of destroying the planet earth several
times over. So seeking help supposes that you act to the limit of your
given abilities using the laws of Allah (swt) in creation to achieve what
you desire. How about the patience part. When your thought is sent
into the aether, it takes time to finish the number of vibratory cycles
required to bring the focused thought into manifestation in the third
density. During this waiting period, you need patience because it is not
easy to maintain the focus while the perceived reality is showing
something else other than what is being focused. With takwa, you
would trust that the focused thought already exists and have
confidence within you that it is on its way coming into manifestation.
The speed with which manifestation of the thought arrives depends on
the nobility of your thought, the number of foci involved, the amount of
energy added through emotion, the frequency of vibration of the spirits
of the different foci involved (i.e. the faith or iman), the trust and
confidence by the various foci that the desire already exists at another
level and it is on its way to third density and the patience and
commitment of these foci preferably accompanied by visualisation. It is
important to note that one should focus on the outcome rather than the
path the desire may take to manifest, because the path you focus on
may require ten years for the thought to manifest, meanwhile Allah
(swt) knows at least a hundred other paths which will only need from
ten minutes to a few days. In summary patience means

 Being thorough, not hasty nor negligent.

 Patient perseverance, constancy, steadfastness, firmness of
purpose and determination in anticipation of the manifestation.
 Systematic as opposed to sporadic or chance action.
 Having a cheerful attitude of dependence on Allah (swt) and
understanding as opposed to complaining all the time.
This four point summary will suffice for the simple minded who don’t
quite understand how the spirit can cause the aether to vibrate. We
should realise that what we have in focus is what we will be given.
Allah (swt) does not change the condition of a people until they first
change what is in their hearts. [Q13:11]
11. For each one are successive [angels] before and behind him who
protect him by the decree of Allah. Indeed, Allah will not change the
condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. And
when Allah intends for a people ill, there is no repelling it. And there is
not for them besides Him any patron.
So he who has poverty constantly in focus will manifest poverty. The
logic being that instead of fearing Allah (swt) the source of riches, you
fear another god instead called poverty, so Allah (swt) may leave you
with him until you transcend the situation. It is amazing to see that it
takes some people 30 years to do that. Then you hear them say things
like “I can’t think of any form of poverty which will frighten me”.
Meaning I have met so many forms of it and none of them killed me.
Now he is no longer afraid of poverty. The same is true of other
conditions.
f) Be sure of a response. A factory owner does not appoint a
manager to run his factory and then deny some things the
manager may require for the success of the project. Our role as
khalifa (vicegerent) in the universe, means that we have been
put in charge of running the universe. So let us take
responsibility as managers and not act as though we are
waiting for someone else to come and tell us what to do.
Doubting the response to the dua could be because we doubt
the usefulness of what we are asking in our mission or we are
not being honest about our request. Make it possible for me to
marry that man ya Allah, says the woman with her lips.
However she doesn’t want to marry him so that together they
can improve the conditions of others, or enlighten them and
give them healthier bodies. She wants to marry him because of
his big castle and big car, private jet, yurt and so on. Here we
are not being sincere and so we have every reason to doubt
whether Allah (swt) will fall for the deception. According to the
law of attraction what you do to others, you do to yourself. So
be mindful not to attract to yourself the opposite of what you
desire through your actions towards others. So when Allah
(swt) makes the statement, “Ask me and I’ll give you”, this must
be well understood.
g) Be committed to its manifestation. When people apply for a
contract, a job, or admission into some institution, not to
mention when we ask someone in marriage, we usually have
that thought in the front of our consciousness, even though
these are far less important than what Allah (swt) can do in our
lives. Yet some people make dua and five minutes later they
have already forgotten. The prophet Mohammed (saw) said if
you think of Allah (swt), He thinks of you. If you did it alone, so
does He. If you did it in company, so does He in a much greater
and more powerful company. In order to help us to be
committed, we could display a picture or drawing of our project
or request to remind ourselves of it. We could visualise in our
minds regularly. We can feel the emotion of what it’ll feel like to
have the desire fulfilled.
h) Be thankful. You should have a cheerful and thankful heart
always. To you the glass is always half full not half empty. Allah
(swt) says in [Q2:172] and [Q14:7] that thankfulness and
gratitude leads to increased gifts and favours.
172. O you who have believed, eat from the good things which We
have provided for you and be grateful to Allah if it is [indeed] Him that
you worship.

7. And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, 'If you are grateful, I
will surely increase you [in favour]; but if you deny, indeed, My
punishment is severe.' "
We humans do so ourselves. We are more inclined to give to those
who show gratitude and are thankful.
i) Add emotion. Emotion helps increase the vibration of the
aether. However negative emotions have a very low frequency
of vibration. Love, optimistic as opposed to pessimistic anxiety,
hopeful anticipation, gratitude for everything already received,
helps vibrate the desire into manifestation faster. The true
believer trusts in synchronicities and thus can see a good thing
in the most hopeless circumstances.
j) Have no preconceived ideas about the manifestation. As
explained above, go for things which constitute your greatest
excitement, so you can be sure it is part of your mission on
earth. Make it for the highest and best good or all concerned,
including your adversaries, so all the forces of creation will be in
it working with you. Do not try to narrow it down in space or time
as that might be a stumbling block to prompt manifestation.
k) Do not be wasteful in your life. In [Q17:26-27] Allah (swt)
condemns wastefulness. Think about it. Will you be happy to
give something to someone who will not use it but throw most of
it away? That is what we do sometimes. For example, I
calculated the electricity bill for a typical house, using
incandescent bulbs, (of 100 watts each) which transform 80%
of the electrical energy into heat rather than light and the
monthly estimate was five times higher than using the electronic
fluorescent type (of 20 watts each), with the same luminous
intensity. This is waste. See what Allah (swt) says in Surat 17.

26. And give the relative his right, and [also] the poor and the traveller,
and do not spend wastefully.
27. Indeed, the wasteful are brothers of the devils, and ever has
Satan been to his Lord ungrateful.

l) Involve more people in the dua. A greater number of

conscious entities energetically focusing their desires into the
aether is definitely better than just one. The prophet of Islam
mentioned how the reward of accomplishing something in group
was far greater than doing it alone. We can see a good
example of this in the potential rewards for the five daily
prayers. When they are accomplished in an assembly, they are
rewarded 27 times more than individual accomplishments. If a
governor received someone who is there for himself and
another who is there on behalf of a whole village, whose words
will carry more weight? The one who represents the village of
course. There is a scene from Malcom X, when he went to the
police station to ask someone to be released and was ridiculed,
because the police thought he was alone. Meanwhile
thousands of black people had gathered silently outside the
police station. When Malcom X persuaded the policer officer to
look outside, then the situation changed suddenly and the
police were now treating him with due respect this time round,
because his words are no longer seen as his alone but those of
the black community.

The dua should go along with proper studies.

The objective of your venture should be clear. It should not be as low
as ventures whose main aim is money by all means. It should have a
positive impact for Islam, Muslims, up-lifting of mankind, and
enlightenment of mankind and so on. Consider the case of horse
racing, where we gamble to predict the first five horses out of 18 in
order. This amounts to saying what are the number of permutations of
18 horses five at a time. (P5) =18!/(18-5)! = 1,028,160
So according to the law of probability distribution, we would expect one
winner for every one million and twenty eight thousand one hundred
and sixty tickets sold. Approximately one ticket in a million wins. If the
ticket cost 400 francs (about 80 US cents), then one million tickets
would mean receipts of 400 million CFA francs ($800,000). How much
do they actually give their winners? Less than five percent of that. This
is not business but pure theft. They further drum in the concept that
wealth is obtained not by hard work, but as a result of a stroke of luck.
Do not forget that just like in electricity, the higher the potential
difference, the greater the work done. In mechanics, the higher the
force or moment, the greater the work done when the force or moment
is allowed to move. In hydrostatics, the higher the pressure (equivalent
of potential difference) the greater the work done when the pressure is
put to action. So too in spirituality, the higher the potential difference
(i.e. the gap between spiritual negativity and spiritual positivity, or in
short, the gap between good and evil), the greater the work done when
spiritual action is undertaken. For example someone wants to make
energy as free as air. All those who have tried this since 1902 were
either killed or silenced. That is because this single action may well end
all forms of slavery in the world. Engage your entrepreneurial initiative
with trust and confidence in Allah (swt), for the highest and best good
of all concerned. Have no fear of the mafia. You can see a good
example in the article below. What a pity that among those who are
trying to stop the initiative because of their own greedy interests, we
find some Muslim countries who are supposed to have been a positive
reference.

India Permits Free Energy Technology despite

Threats from UK, US, Saudi Arabia
January 18, 2017 by David Vanallen

India’s free energy program is their biggest pride and they aren’t
afraid to antagonize even the most powerful Petrodollar countries
with their support for the Reactionless AC Synchronous
Generator invented by their most respectable scientist
Paramahamsa Tewari. Tewari is an electrical engineer and the
former Executive Director of Nuclear Power Corporation of India.

However, before implementing a free energy program, a country

has to consider the overall effect it will have, including a possible
military response from countries like Saudi Arabia, UK, US. So it
shouldn’t come as a surprise that India has been approaching its
military program to the Russian, which alongside the other the
BRICS countries, is currently opposing the Petrodollar countries
who are giving their best efforts to suppress it.

As they’ve claimed in the past, the BRICS alliance was supposed

to release all suppressed technologies, e.g. free energy, for our
responsible utilization. It may have seem as an empty promise
but they’re keeping their word so far. Image of generator below.

I wish you all, especially my students a speedy awakening.

Assallamu alaykum.
In setting up your business, do not forget the problem of riba in your
analysis. A bakery feasibility study has been added in the appendix. Go
on and become a second Bill Gates in Africa. I pray that Allah (swt)
puts a strong wind blowing in the right direction into your sales
all the time until you are called to Him. Ameen.
An example of what you can do at home. Soap making.

Soap making.
Soap is the result of a reaction between a fatty acid and an alkali, such
as NaOH (aq) or KOH (aq). In order to calculate the quantities involved,
empirical numbers called saponification values are used. This is
because vegetable oils and animal fats are not pure substances. Let Ψs
be the saponification value for NaOH and Ψp be that of KOH, then if
Ms is the mass of caustic soda (NaOH), and Mf is the mass of oil or
vegetable fat, then Ψs represents the mass of NaOH required to carry
out the saponification of unit mass of fat.
Therefore Ms = Mf X Ψs…………………..(1a)
Similarly, Mp = Mf X Ψp…………………..(1b)
You can convert from the value to the Ψs value, by dividing Ψp by the
ratio of molecular weights of KOH to NaOH. Ie divide by 1.403
Now let Mt be the total mass of the solution of NaOH and water
combined. That is to say the mass of NaOH solution in water, then the
empirical rule to obtain Mt is Mt = Ms ÷0.3………………….(2).
So the mass of water alone Mw is given by Mw = Mt – Ms …………(3)
On substituting for from (2) above, equation (3) becomes

10 7
M w =M s [ 3 ]
−1 = M s … … … … … … … … … …( 4)
3

With the above equations we can easily weigh the amount or water and
sodium hydroxide required for a particular batch of soap.
However, if we have a mixture of oils, then let the mass of the ith oil be
Moi and Ψi the saponification value of the ith oil. The mass of NaOH for
the whole mixture Mst is given by
n
M st =Ψ 1 M o 1 +Ψ 2 M o 2+ … …..+Ψ n M sn=∑ Ψ i M oi …… … …… …… …… ()
i=1

If however we have the total mass of oil Mot and xi is the fraction of this
mass which is the ith oil, then Mst is given by
n
M st =M ot [ Ψ 1 x 1+Ψ 2 x 2 +… …+Ψ n x n ]=M ot ∑ Ψ i xi … …()
i=1

What is a soap? A soap is a class of chemical called surfactants,

having a charged water loving hydrophilic head and a neutral oil loving
lipophilic tail. An example of a soap is sodium Laurate.
Na+O-[laurate]. That is a sodium ion and a laurate ion. Soaps are
positively charged surfactants. Vegetable oils usually consists of three
fatty acid molecules attached to a glycerine or glycerol molecule. That
is why they are called triglycerides. The three fatty acids can be the
same or different. They can be straight chained (saturated), or
branched chained (unsaturated). the later make softer soaps due to the
fact that they can’t stack up properly.
So we have a fat + 3NaOH =>Glycerine + 3 soap molecules (sodium
salts of fatty acids).
Saturated fatty acids have a straight forward zigzag in their structure,
so they stack better, leading to harder soaps. For example, Lauric acid,
Myristic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acids. Generally the NaOH discount
to ensure excess fat rather than excess NaOH is between 5 and 8%.
You can remove glycerine by salting.
In a practical case I did with my students, we used four litres (3.52Kg)
of palm kernel oil whose saponification value is o.1777 and specific
gravity is between 0.882kg/litre and 0.886kg/litre. In order to have an
idea how much heat is released when NaOH is dissolved here are
some more data.
Enthalpy of solution of NaOH = 44.2 Kj/mole and NH4NO3 is 25.4
Kj/mole. The molar mass of NaOH is 39.997grams/mole which is
approximately equal to 40 g/mol. (Na=22.989, O=19.999, H=1.0079).
In this practical case, Ms= 0.62692 Kg and Mw= 1.46282 Kg. this
produced about 5.525 Kg of soap. If this is split into 200g pieces, it will
yield 27.625 pieces. This if sold at 500 FRS ($1), would be worth
13,500 frs. If we subtract the cost of the constituting ingredients of
4,500, we find a gross margin of 9,000 frs CFA. So in summary, 40
litres of oil used per day would yield a gross margin of 90,000 a day
($180). Dear reader, stop licking your lips. Mind you, you have to
deduct other expenditures like tax, rents, and transport costs, Retailers
profit margins etc. See photo.
Below is a table showing the saponification values of many oils. It does
not matter which part of the world you live in, you can always use the
type of oi you can easily find there. Do not forget that you can also use
any combination of oils in order to give your soap a particular
characteristic.
