NUMBERS BY 1-DIGIT MULTIPLIER


WITH AND WITHOUT REGROUPING

EXPECTATIONS:
*Multiply 2 to 3 digit multiplier with and without regrouping.
Motivation: Recall and review multiplication facts.
Question: How do we multiply 2 to 3 digit number by 1 or 2
digits multiplier or by zero?
EXAMPLE: A. One digit multiplier. (Vertical form)
1. 21 - - -> multiplicand 2. 324
x 4 - - - > multiplier x 2 - - -> factors
84 - - - > product 648 - - -> product

B.(Horizontal form)- Two digit multiplier.


In sentence form: 12 x 134 = N
N = 1 608 - - - final answer
Solution:
134

1 608 - - ->final product

C.Multiplication with regrouping.


Example: 643
