ARABIC
ACTIVITY BOOK

Learn the Arabic Alphabet

Teacher Tips
Teach your child how to read the Qur’an to please
Allah ( ‫)ﺳ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ـ ــﺒﺤﺎﻧﮫو ﻌﺎ‬, and ask Allah to make your journey
easy and enjoyable.

Study this book together with your child, praising

and encouraging them along the way.

Find a quiet and well-lit place to study. Stop before

your child grows tired.

Study at the pace of your child, one or two pages a

day. Move on only when your child has mastered the
previous letter.

Don’t expect your child to read any of the Arabic

words in this book. You should encourage them to
listen to and say the sound at the beginning of
these words. The bold word next to each Arabic
word is its brief translation.

If your child nds it difcult to write the letters,

encourage them to use their nger to trace the
letters instead. This helps with letter recognition.

An example of how to teach this book: “This is the

letter Alif. It makes the sound aa aa, as in a-sa-dun.
Can you try to say aa-aa, a-sa-dun?”
After learning the whole Arabic alphabet,
cut out the Arabic alphabet cards and practise more
by using them to make words and playing games
such as SNAP and MEMORY MATCH.

Arabic Activity Book
Before starting this book, children do not need to have any
prior knowledge of the Arabic language. InshaAllah, they
will be introduced to all the letters of the Arabic alphabet.

We aim to teach children Arabic in a fun and interactive way

to enable them to recite the Qur’an with love, condence and
to have a basic understanding of what they read.

Each page has a blank star for your child to colour or place a
star sticker on after completing the activities.

If your child enjoys this then they will

love the Little Qari Activity Book which
is in full colour and has much more
reading practice. It also includes
fun stuff like ashcards and posters.
