Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, born June 19, 1945 in Rangoon, is a Burmese politicianan diplomat , a figure in the

non-violent opposition to the military dictatorship of her country. She won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1991.she

played a vital rol in the state’s transitionfrom military junta to partial democracy

She is the daughter of Burmese independence supporter Aung San, who was assassinated when she was two

years old. In 1988, she co-founded and became secretary general of the National League for Democracy (LND),

a political party opposed to the military junta in power. In 1990, the military government canceled the legislative

elections, won by the LND, and placed Aung San Suu Kyi under house arrest. During her imprisonment, she

enjoyed significant international support and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. She was released in 2010.

Malala Yousafzai born 12 July 1997 often referred to mononymously as Malala, is a Pakistani activist
for female education and the youngest Nobel Prize laureate.[5] She is known for human rights advocacy,
especially the education of women and children in her native Swat Valley in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northwest
Pakistan, where the local Pakistani Taliban had at times banned girls from attending school. Her advocacy has
grown into an international movement, and according to former Pakistani Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan
Abbasi, she has become "the most prominent citizen" of the country.[6]

As a child, Malala wrote a blog for BBC2, telling her views on education and her life under Taliban rule.On

October 9, 2012, she was the victim of an assassination attempt in which she was seriously injured, an attack

condemned by the main political groups in the country. She was transferred to Birmingham hospital in the UK

on October 15 for further treatment. This attack led to international media coverage of Malala Yousafzai.

In 2014, aged 17, she won the Nobel Peace Prize with the Indian Kailash Satyarthi, which made her the youngest

winner in the history of this prize3.

democratically elected to head a government, after Sirimavo Bandaranaike in Sri Lanka. He was a major figure
in Congress and Indian politics in the second half of the twentieth century and his tenures at the head of India
were marked by a strong centralization of power. She led the Third Indo-Pakistani War, developed a nuclear
weapons program and increased India's influence over South Asia. His government presides over the Green
Revolution and the nationalization of banks and major industries. From 1975 to 1977, Indira Gandhi instituted a
controversial state of emergency which allowed her to suspend public freedoms.
