Challenges Scheduling First Session

Hi Parent,
My name is Your Name and I am very excited to be tutoring your son/daughter, Student,
this spring/summer/winter/fall.

I am trying to touch base with you to find out a bit more about Student, his/her goals,
and to set up a time to gather for our first session. I'm afraid my two attempts to reach
you by phone were not successful. I did leave messages for you, so if this has reached
you after you have returned my calls, thank you for getting back to me. If not, my
number is Phone Number. Please give me a call when you have a moment to chat. I
can't wait to hear about how I can help raise Student’s SAT score and start him/her on
the awesome program we have here at StudyPoint. Thanks so much, I hope to hear
from you soon!

First Lesson Scheduled Reminder

Hi Parent,

It was great to talk with you just a moment ago. I think Student and I will work great
together, and I can't wait to start helping her/him boost her/his SAT score!

We set our first session for Day, Month, Date at Time a.m./p.m. at your home in City. I
have found that lessons work best in a quiet room, like an office or den, where there is a
table or desk and a couple of chairs. Busy households have even set up SAT

1
workstations in their basements, ensuring their student can focus on the material and
giving them a place to keep everything together. Student and I will start our lesson
going over her/his previous/practice tests, doing a couple knowledge and skill
assessments, and planning out a course of action to get her/him ready for her/his Month
test. We will need your input during the last 15 minutes or so in order to book her/his
next few sessions and go over her/his study and homework plan.

I look very forward to meeting you and Student on Day and getting this program started.
If you have any questions, or something comes up and you need to change our
appointment time, please don't hesitate to email, call, or send me a text message. Have
a great rest of your day!

First Lesson Follow-up

Hello Parent and Student (and Program Manager),

I just wanted to send a quick message to share my excitement about how great our first
lesson went today. Student and I spent some time getting to know each other and
talking about her/his learning styles versus my teaching styles. We were able to find out
that Student is a Verbal/Visual/Kinesthetic learner – which matches great with our
program, as I lecture right out of Student's workbook and always point out things that
he/she should underline or take notes on as we cruise through the pages of material
and jump around from task to task – always keeping things interesting.

We spent a few moments discussing Student’s practice test, and I think I have a good
idea of some areas to focus on during our lessons. After that, we spent a few minutes
discussing Student’s study habits, and I noted that Student has a firm grasp on what
he/she needs to do to ensure all her/his work gets done and that she/he still has time to
study for the SAT. Bravo!

We set a score goal of obtaining a Total Score Goal, which will not be too big of a feat
to accomplish. It breaks down to about Number (about 3 questions for each 10 point
raise in Total Score) more questions correct on the test. So, if we aim for about only
Number of questions divided by number of sessions more questions conquered each
session, then we will be on our way. Number, same as just mentioned questions is very
reasonable and achievable with focus and effort.

2
We spent some time during our lesson today talking about a strategy called Clean
Sweep, then we completed our first lesson in Subject Covered. When you have a
moment, please ask Student about what he/she learned (that also keeps the ideas fresh
in her/his head, and a parental SAT Strategies Pop Quiz is always welcomed). Student
was asked to complete Homework, as found on her/his student portal (which we also
went over).

As a reminder, we set up Student’s next four lessons at the end of our session today.
Here are the days and times I listed on my calendar for our sessions. Please make sure
these match what you wrote down:

Thank you for welcoming me into your home and allowing me to work with Student as
he/she prepares for the SAT. I know the next few months will be a hard, rewarding, and
memorable journey, and I can't wait to celebrate Student’s successes with all of you! As
always, if you ever have any questions, thoughts, comments, or need to adjust a
scheduled session time, please email, call, or send me a text message. I always try to
respond as soon as I can. My number, for everyone's reference, is Phone Number.

Thanks again,

Mid Program Check-in

Hello Parent and Student (and Program Manager),

As Student and I are about half way through our SAT lessons, I wanted to take a quick
moment to update you on how things are going.

Overall, Student is doing great and really showing improvement in Subject. He/She is
still struggling a bit in Subject, but that is okay, as we still have a lot of lessons left to
cover as much material as possible to increase Student’s scores.

3
Speaking of scores, Student has gone up Number points on his/her recent practice test,
and even got Number more questions correct on the Subject homework I recently
assigned. This is awesome progress!

Please take a moment this week to chat with Student about our program, and relay to
me any feedback you think is important to help me ensure the last half of our program is
as outstanding as our first! As always, if you ever have any questions, thoughts,
comments, or need to adjust a scheduled session time, please email, call, or send me a
text message. I always try to respond as soon as I can. My number, for everyone's
reference, is Phone Number.

I can’t wait to see how great Student does on the final test, and I am beginning to think
our score goal of a Number might not be high enough. I’ll monitor this over the next
couple sessions.

Have a great rest of your week,

Practice Test is Homework Check-in

Hello Parent and Student (and Program Manager),

Just wanted to let you know that I assigned Student his/her next practice test for
homework this week. Student will need some extra study and prep time, and ideally
he/she will be able to find 4 solid hours to take the test in one sitting to imitate real test
conditions.

Please help Student enter his/her scores and essay into his/her Student Portal by Day
and Time so that I can fully analyze the test and prepare for our next lesson.

Good luck, Student! I know you will do great!

How the Practice Test Went Follow-up

Hello Parent and Student (and Program Manager),

I just wanted to send over some congratulations news around that Student achieved an

amazing Score on his/her most recent practice test homework. This is an increase of
Number points from what she/he got on his/her last test. He/She really shined in the
Subject section, but still showed room for improvement in the Subject section, so we will
make sure we spend a bit more time looking at these during our next lesson.

Most important, though – woo-hoo! Great job, Student!

Final Practice Test is Homework Check-in

Hello Parent and Student (and Program Manager),

As our SAT program is almost over, I assigned Student his/her next practice test for
homework this week. This is Student’s FINAL practice test of our program, as Student’s
real test is just days away.

Student will need some extra study and prep time, and he/she will NEED to find 4 solid
hours to take the test in one sitting to imitate real test conditions. Please help ensure
that he/she does this, as it is so vital to ensuring the test results are as accurate as
possible, helping me know exactly what to focus on and review for our final session.

Please help Student enter his/her scores and essay into his/her Student Portal by Day
and Time. If there are going to be any delays, please call or text me ASAP, as we may
need to reschedule his/her final lesson.

Good luck, Student! You have put a lot of work into this program, and I know you will do
great!

Post Program Wrap-up

Hello Parent and Student (and Program Manager),

I just wanted to send a quick message to not only thank you for allowing me to work
with Student this spring/summer/fall/winter, but also to send a great big BRAVO to
Student for all the work he/she has put into this program!

During our final session today, we celebrated the Total Score she/he received on

his/her last practice test. This is fantastic increase from the Original Score we started at!
This Number point increase is due to all the hard work Student has put into this
program. Even more impressive, in Subject, Student went up Number points, and in
Subject he/she went up Number points!

Based on this score, and how well he/she has been doing on his/her homework over the
past few weeks, I know we can expect great things to come this weekend, especially
with a few more minutes of study time between now and the test (but absolutely NONE
the night before the test. I firmly instructed Student that night is reserved for ordering in
his/her favorite food, watching his/her favorite movie, and going to bed early).

Student, thank you for all the time, effort, and energy you have put into mastering the
SAT. When we did our review today, you knew every answer without hesitation or fault.
I am so proud of what you have done with the material, and I can't wait to celebrate your
score achievement with you.

Thank you, everyone, for welcoming me so warmly into you home and lives for the past
few weeks. If you ever hear of someone who needs some SAT or academic help,
please refer them to me and StudyPoint. I hope our paths cross again someday,
preferably the next time being when we celebrate Student's amazing SAT score.

Until then, have a great Month, and please make sure Student gets in bed early this
week. He/She needs some extra rest to be wide awake for the test on Saturday. :)

Thanks again for everything!

Scores Due Check-in

Hello Student (and Parent and Program Manager),

I hope all has been going well since you took your SAT test, and that you have found
some time to relax and also have some fun. I am emailing you today because some
little birdies have told me that test scores have started to be released, and I was
wondering if you got your scores yet. If you did, please share them with me, as well as a
screenshot of the scores, so I can put them in your file. I hope you did as fantastic as
possible, and if not, I am ready to keep helping you get the score you want.

I can’t wait to hear from you!

Final Follow-up Email

Hello Parent and Student (and Program Manager),

Student – thanks for sending me your scores. I am so proud of you, and your scores
really reflect how hard you worked during our time together.

I hope everyone is as excited as I am with Student’s success. I know this achievement

will help him/her get into a great university! I hope we keep in touch so that I can keep
celebrating Student’s awesome achievements.

Student, now that you have mastered the SAT, if you are interested in taking the ACT,
not that you have to, I can help you prepare for that as well. StudyPoint has a special
7
conversion program that is only a few lessons long. It covers all the differences between
the tests, and also allows us to review the material you learned during your SAT
program. If this is something you are considering, please reach out to Program
Manager, and he/she will tell you more about it and help set us up.

Also, Student, if you find you need any academic support this school year, as it is so
important to keep your GPA up during your senior year, I specialize in Subject and
Subject, and I would be thrilled to keep working with you.

Either way, keep me posted on everything, and please feel free to refer StudyPoint to
your friends!
