Tokyo, Oct. 13 -- Japan Patent Office has released Toppan Printing's patent application for sales promotion device,
sales promotion system and sales promotion method. This invention was developed by Sato Tomoji.

According to the abstract released by the Japan Patent Office: "PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To distribute
information on a campaign or the like about sales promotion to consumers so that an effect of sales promotion
can be improved.SOLUTION: A sales promotion device includes: a storage unit in which pieces of user
identification information on relating users are stored in association with each other, and privilege information
indicating a point given to a user is stored; a provision unit that selects a user becoming an introducer, on the
basis of the point indicated by the privilege information, and transmits a coupon to the terminal device of the
selected introducer; a distribution unit that receives an introduction instruction of the coupon from the terminal
device of the introducer who has received the coupon, and distributes the coupon to a terminal device of a person
to be introduced who is stored as a user relating to the introducer in the storage unit; and a privilege update unit
that receives a notification to the effect that the person to be introduced who has received the coupon has used
the coupon, and updates the privilege information on the introducer to a point having a predetermined point added
thereto."
