Objectives:
 Reflect on your approach and ability to think critically
 Explain what thinking critically means in school
 Identify potential challenges to thinking critically in school
 Develop strategies to improve your critical thinking skills

Among the topics you will learn:


 why critical thinking is important
 the importance of background knowledge for critical thinking
 generate ideas from given topic of interests
 the difference between logic and argumentation
 what makes an argument good or bad?
 making and writing good arguments
 techniques of argument analysis and reconstruction
 how to reason about chance and uncertainty
 how to cite sources and avoid plagiarism in your writing
