CREATION OF AN E-MAIL ID

AIM:

To create an Email-ID

ALGORITHM:

STEP 1:Visit Google account creation page, accounts.google.com.

STEP 2: Click on Create account.

STEP 3: The sign-up form will appear. Enter your first and last name.

STEP 4: Choose a Username for your account.

STEP 5: After choosing a username, enter a password.


Type the password again to confirm.
STEP 6: At last tap on Next.

STEP 7: On the next page enter your phone number to verify your account.

STEP 8: On the given mobile number you will receive a text message from Google
with a verification code and tap on Verify.
STEP 9: On the next page enter your DOB in the specified fields.

STEP 10: Choose a Gender.

STEP 11: Tap on Next.

STEP 12: Read, Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy will
appear On the screen and click on I agree.
Congratulations! Your account has been created. From now onwards every time you
sign in you just have to enter your email id and password. And every time you sign-in don’t
forget to sign-out because it prevents others from viewing your emails.

2. COMPOSE AND SEND MAIL

AIM :

To compose and send a mail.

ALGORITHM:

STEP 1: Log in to your Gmail account so that you are on the dashboard (main page) of
your mail account.

STEP 2: Click Compose.

STEP 3: A new blank email window will open up. In the ‘To’ box, type the
email address of the recipient.
STEP 4: The Subject field allows you to give the recipient an idea of the topic of
your email, like a heading. You don’t have to put anything in the subject box, but it can
help when viewing and sorting email.
STEP 5: Email text can be formatted in a similar way to text in word document.
You can change the font style, color and size using the formatting icons. You can also
create bullet points and check the spelling of your mail. Choose your formatting from the
menu shown.
STEP 6: Type your message in the main body field of your mail.

STEP 7: Click the blue Send button at the bottom of the compose window.

STEP 8: The email you have sent will now b stored in the ‘Sent Mail’
folder on you Gmail dashboard.

3. FORWARD AND REPLY TO A E-MAIL

AIM:

To forward and reply to a E-Mail.

ALGORITHM:

STEP 1: Log in to your Gmail account so that you are on the dashboard (main page) of
your mail account.

STEP 2: In a mail box, select a message which you wants to reply.

STEP 3: Click Reply button. Type a message and Click blue Send button.

STEP 4: Open the mail which you want to forward it.

STEP 5: Click Forward button at the bottom of the mail. Enter the recipient mail
address in the ‘To’ box.

STEP 6: Click blue Send Button. The mail will be forwarded to the recipient.

4. SEND A MAIL WITH AN ATTACHMENT

AIM:

To send a mail with an attachment.

ALGORITHM:

STEP 1:Log in to your Gmail account so that you are on the dashboard (main page) of
your mail account.

STEP 2: Open a new email message window, usually by clicking the ‘Compose’ icon.

STEP 3:In the ‘To’ box, type the email address of the recipient.

STEP 4: Click on the menu item with a paper clip icon that says “Attach File”.

STEP 5: Browse through your computers’ folders and click to select the files you want to
attach. In most cases, you can select multiple files by holding down the CTRL key while
clicking on each file.

STEP 6: Click the ‘Open’ button to attach the file to your email.

STEP 7:Click the blue Send button at the bottom of the compose window.

STEP 8: The email you have sent will now b stored in the ‘Sent Mail’ folder on you
Gmail dashboard.

5. DOWNLOAD THE ATTACHED DOCUMENT OF A MAIL RECEIVED

AIM:

To download the attached document of a mail received.

ALGORITHM:

STEP 1:Log in to your Gmail account so that you are on the dashboard (main page) of
your mail account.

STEP 2: Open the message which has an attachment.

STEP 3: Click downarrow which says ‘download’. The attachment will be downloaded
and stored in the ‘downloads’.

STEP 4: Log out form your account.

6. SEND A MAIL TO LARGE NUMBER OF RECIPIENTS USING CC AND BCC

AIM:

To send a mail to large number of recipients using CC and BCC.

ALGORITHM:

STEP 1: Log in to your Gmail account so that you are on the dashboard (main page) of
your mail account.

STEP 2: Click Compose.

STEP 3: A new blank email window will open up. In the ‘To’ box, type the email
address of the recipient, in the ‘cc’ box, type the email addresses, which helps to send an
email to multiple recipients, all recipients can see who has been added to your mail. In
the ‘bcc’type the email addresses, which is also helps to send an email to multiple
recipients, while this field recipients can’t see who else has been added.

STEP 4: The Subject field allows you to give the recipient an idea of the topic of your
email, like a heading. You don’t have to put anything in the subject box, but it can help
when viewing and sorting email.

7. SEARCH A THING USING SEARCH ENGINE

AIM:

To search a thing using a search engine.

ALGORITHM:

STEP 1: Open a search engine. For example, Google Search.

STEP 2:Enter the thing which you want to search.

STEP 3: A new window will be open for the thing which you have been searched.

STEP 4: Select the relevant details using that window and close it.

8. OPEN AND READ NEWSPAPER SITES, TV PROGRAMS SCHEDULES
USING INTERNET

AIM:

To open and read newspapers and TV programs schedules using internet.

ALGORITHM:

STEP 1: Open a search engine. For example, Google Search.

STEP 2: Enter the newspaper name or website.

STEP 3: A new window will be open for the thing which you have been searched.

STEP 4:Click the appropriate website and read the news.

STEP 5: Close the window.

STEP 6: Enter “Vijay TV Schedule” in a search engine and click enter.

STEP 7: Vijay Television website will be open. Check the schedules and close the
window.

9. VERIFY A UNIVERSITY / COLLEGE DETAILS BY OPENING THEIR WEBSITES

AIM:

To verify a university / college details by opening their websites.

ALGORITHM:

STEP 1: Open the search engine.

STEP 2: Enter the university website. For example, www.-u.ac.in and click enter.

STEP 3:Bharathiar University website will be appear.

STEP 4: Check the details whatever be needed.

STEP 5: Close the window.

10. UPLOADING RESUME IN JOB PORTAL

AIM:

To upload resume in job portal.

ALGORITHM:

STEP 1: Open the search engine.

STEP 2: Enter the job portal web address. For example, www.naukri.com and click
enter.

STEP 3:Naukri website will be appear. Click “Register with us” for new registration.
Enter the all details such as personal, education, work experience etc. Atlast, Browse and
select your resume document and enter open. Click “Upload Resume”.

STEP 4:The resume will be uploaded in the naukri.

STEP 5: Close the window.
