Letter of Authorization for Background Verification

I hereby affirm, confirm, agree that:

1. All the statements made in the documents are true and are given by me out of my free
will.
2. Any submission of false or misleading information will entitle upGrad Education Private
Limited (“upGrad”) to terminate my employment forthwith.
3. I hereby authorize upGrad to hire a third-party vendor/agency to obtain investigative
screening report or any information that it may deem relevant and appropriate to
validate the information provided in connection to my application for employment at
upGrad.
4. I understand that the records will be used only for such purposes arising out of my
employment and will not be given to any unauthorized person.
5. I authorize upGrad or/its agents to conduct my reference check, background check in
any jurisdiction across globe. I also agree that during the course of reference and
background check, my previous employers or such persons contacted for checks and
verifications may be informed that the reference and background checks are done on
behalf of upGrad.
6. I authorize upGrad to share the reference check and background verification reports to
such third party as may be required for audit and other reasonable purposes.
7. In the event that upGrad is unable to verify any reference stated in my records, it is my
responsibility to furnish the necessary document.
8. I understand that the continuance of employment or the offer of employment is
contingent upon the outcome of the background check conducted.
