2. Course Name: Construction Methods and Project Management
3. Course Description: This course deals with organizational options, construction management
principles and practices, project management, documentation,
programming and scheduling tools, construction equipment, construction
safety and labor laws.
4. Pre-requisite: CE 436, Tech 444/D
5. Co-requisite: None
6. Credit: 3.0 units lecture, 1 unit dry laboratory
7. Class Schedule: 6 lecture hours per week, 6 dry laboratory hours per week

Final Topics from Project Management  In this task, you are required to submit
Examination 1st to 7th Proposal complete set of building plans (4 Storey and
Week up) with cost summary. It is presume that
your company is the winning bidder of the
project.
 As the winning bidder, you are required to
prepare and submit the following: your
company profile, notice of award, notice to
proceed, construction contract, materials
specifications, construction schedule( bar
chart and Pert/CPM, construction
methodology, manpower utilization
schedule, equipment utilization schedule,
cash flow, project monthly accomplishment,
construction health and safety program.
 As the construction works progresses, you
are required to conduct weekly coordination
meeting with the building owner and his
representatives and other sub-contractors
and specialty contractors. Record the
minutes of the meeting as this will be
required during the turn-over of the project.
Provide also logbook to record the daily
activities, weather, equipment used on site.
Submit results of the material testing
conducted on site such as concrete
compression test, rebar tensile test, CHB
compression test and others.
 As the finishing works approaches, submit
materials samples for approval of the
project architect and building owner.
 During the completion of the project, submit
turn-over letter to the building owner.
 You will be graded according to the
following criteria:
1. Project on Time and Adequacy (10
points)
2. Defense Presentation and Output
 Project Presentation (30 points)
 Project Output (30 points)
 Accuracy (30 points)
