Explain the nature of production management and operation


management.

Nature of Production Management Production management is


not solely involving the transformation of inputs into merchandise and
services, however it's conjointly involving other management activities.
Production management assists in coming up with, organizing,
co-ordinating, observance and dominant all the production activities.
Production management is not only related to the transformation
of inputs into goods and services, but it is also related to other
management activities. It is the development of the activities involved
in transforming resources into goods and services.

Operations management is commonly used at the side of


production management in literature on the subject. It's so helpful to
know the nature of operations management. Operations management
is known because the method whereby resources or inputs are
converted into additional helpful products . But, there are at least 2
points of distinction between production management and operations
management .First, the term production management is more used for
a system wherever tangible products are created .Whereas ,operations
management is additionally used wherever numerous inputs are
reworked into tangible services.
