demoralization and discords. This incidence wons not only at the university but also to the academic institution in the
city and the entire region. A college fresh men, Bro. WENDELL CAM, a product from Adamson University in Manila rose

CODES OF CONDUCT

T – Treat others as you would have them treat you.

*this is simple a replica of a golden rule. From here on we have always remember that the interpretation of any of the
Triskelion principles must always be implicated positively. Our founding fathers never intended for us to exploit the
codes of conduct by making twisted interpretation. Just we can’t implicate the first code to inflict pain to other, just
because you’re a masochist. So best approach of interpreting our principle, is to interpret it with the same mind-set of
people who made the principles.

R – Reasonably defend the name and honor of fraternity whenever it is unjustly criticized.

*what kind of defense is needed for the time being should be profoundly considered. There are many forms of defenses
and only few of these will come out to be the best. So, let us always relate this code of conduct to our second tenets.

I – inform and orient your fellow brothers and sisters in every matter in which you consider vital to the fraternity.

*let us always give attention to the smallest details to our surroundings and try to evaluate if it is vital to our fraternity.
There are things that we see, do or feel that may be of great significance and we have to be always aware of these. In
addition, this code is not only required us to inform but there is also to implied duty for us to inquire to our fellow
Triskelion every time, especially when we are absent to a period of time.

S – Salute and address your brothers and sisters on a proper manner.

*the best way to know what is proper is to know what is improper. So, to name a few it is improper:

 Turn your back while performing the handshake.

 Insult you fellow Triskelion in front of everybody’s eyes.

 Subject visiting Triskelion to insult and tedious test before accepting them especially if they are obvious to be
true Triskelion.

 Others.

K – Keep decorum in all fraternity meeting and act according outside the fraternity. *as a Triskelion obliged to always
pay attention to the one who is speaking in front during the meetings and conferences. K is the probably one of most
violated codes of conduct of our fraternity. Violation examples:

 Talking while the presiding officer is still speaking during meeting.

 Leaving the area while the meeting is still in session.

 Arriving late in the meeting.

 Transferring one place to another while the meeting is in session.

 And all the missing behavior outside the fraternity. This code of conduct intends to home us to become a
good listeners, not only during meeting but in every conversation that we partake, in other words, if
somebody is communicating at you or trying to speak his mind to you, then as a Triskelion we are
obliged to listen and let him speak.

E – Excel in your chosen fields of endeavor.

*to know the best fields for you is to know your strengths, talents and abilities. Don’t be contented of what you have
and what you are if it not yet in the peak of your potentials. Always take the greater challenger in your life and try to be
the best in what you do. In addition, we have to consider that the biggest step to excel is to be good in your studies, so if
you are privilege to be studying, always aim to graduate, if possible, with honor.

L – Live a life of moderation, avoid gluttony, drunkenness and other vices least you forget your family, health, work,
studies and fraternity.

*too much of anything is harmful, we have to learn how we manage our time well and be aware of the things that are
not good for us. It must also be considered that there are things in this world that must be absolutely avoided like
poison, radioactive materials, illegal drugs and many more. So, if we say to be moderate, we could include drugs to be
among the things to be moderate about. Drugs is absolutely prohibited. We may be moderate in drinking alcoholic
beverages and in smoking but on drugs, it has to be rejected. Why? Studies shows that it’s next to impossibility to be
moderate in taking illegal drugs of substances.

I – In your daily life, be careful in what you write and say. Ba ware of misinterpretation and lasting misunderstanding. *it
is a fact that no one can please everybody, but at least try not to deliberately please anybody in all we do there is always
a proper norm on how to do it. If ever somebody complain how you talk, stare or walk, then try to correct it.

O – Obey the fraternity rules and regulations. Be guided by the tenets and codes of conducts of the fraternity.

*the particular code indicates that there are specific rules and regulations that shall be formulated by different chapters
and councils for an effective administration. Therefore, the local council policies as well as the chapter policies shall at all
times be followed by concerned members within the council’s or chapter’s jurisdiction, provided that the said local
policies are not in contradiction to the tenets and codes of conducts.

N – Never reveal to anyone. Not to your family nor to your friends the concern of the fraternity.

*this code of conduct needs to be deeply understood. There are revelations that can exalt the reputation of our beloved
fraternity and there are also revelations that can be detrimental to our fraternity. For example, reviling the kind of
brotherhood we advocate will probably earn praises people in general. So, it just a manner of judgment on what t reveal
and what not to reveal.

TENETS

SECTION 1: The TAU GAMMA PHI is the Triskelion grand fraternity, my fraternity, the supreme fraternity.

SECTION 2: Prinum nil nocere – first of all do not harm. Let alone the defense of self, for whatever cause a man has come
to being, for whatever reason he exists, to whatever he destined, kin to all leaving creature around him. MAN IS A
BROTHER UNTO MAN.

SECTION 3: De gustibus non desputandum est – of all likes and dislikes, there should be no disputing. LIVE AND LET LIVE.
*the third tenet is an expression of respect for an individual’s freewill. We must tolerate the existence of individual
differences among triskelion but if and only if such difference is not detrimental to the fraternity. The freedom that we
are bequeathed upon is within the boundary of our tenets and codes of conducts. This we must comply with in order to
be called true Triskelion. We have to accept that the absolute freedom is a myth in the real word, so as Triskelion we
have the obligation to confirm with the Triskelion doctrines such that whatever disposition we have that doesn’t
harmonize with the Triskelion principles must be corrected.

SECTION 4: Preserve yourself brawn brain and blood.

*the fourth tenet is another challenge for the triskelion. It is a challenge to portray the authentic image of a Triskelion.
SECTION 5: Brothers I shall love and respect. There council I shall heed. SECTION 6: Eastern Visayas State University is my
Alma Mater, to honor and cherish by its rules and goals be governed and be guided.

SECTION 7: The Grand Triskelion is righteous, just and strong. He shall be obeyed and respected.

SECTION 8: A Triskelion is a brother unto his fellow Triskelion
