ACTIVITY NO. 1
1. Give 3 instances that will show how you can manifest your love to your country.

 Being a proactive citizen

Proactive citizen includes the involvement for our right to vote, taking responsibility
by means of being a law-abiding citizen, having a respect and good communication with
others and building a path for the future of the whole nation.

 Interfering with current events

Keeping ourselves to the currents news makes us updated in the situation of our
country. Just like being involved with the societal concerns, political situation and
discussion.

 Supporting local products

We cannot deny that we are buying imported products. However, we can also
support our local ones because both are necessities.

2. Give 3 reasons why Rizal is considered as a modern day hero.

 Rizal fought differently against Spaniards

José Rizal was not a fighter physically but with his works such us poems, essays
and novels awakened the Filipino’s nationalism that resulted for Filipinos to fight for
freedom.

 Rizal symbolizes greatness especially to the youth

José Rizal showed greatness by loving our own country, have a courage to fight
what is right. He also gave a message to the Filipino youth for the appreciation of own
language or dialect and importance of love for country and others.

 Inspiration to Rizal’s works

His works are still popular up to these days. It is great because it is serves as one of
the roots of our inspiration to look up for the greatness of our country.

3. State the best sacrifice that you have done or can do for your family.
For now, the best sacrifice that I can give to my family is to study for the future that I
am looking up to for myself and for them. All I can do is to build and achieving my dreams
for us. I don’t want to let their sacrifices lead to nothing.
4. State 5 differences between Hero vs. Martyr

 A hero is someone who gives of himself,  A martyr is remembered and admired
