Inspected the above work along with the concerned construction wing and Quality Controf
wing, the following observations are made:

At the time of inspection, the field staff liave reported that the work is in progress and the
details are as follows:

At the time of inspection, work is stand still due to rains.

REACH 4:

The area for backhlling of soils beside the U/s wing walls of the delivery cistern at KM. 20.080
in the D/s of the earthen bund was inspected. It is observed that there were loose rock fragments to the
sides and it is instructed to remove all the loose fragments before filling with soils and make proper
compaction at the sides. During the Execution, if water gets impounded due to sudden rains, it is
instructed to lift the water and to remove the slushy soils that slides in to the area of backfilline.

General instructions/Suggestions :

1) It is observed that water is impounded at various locations along the bund due to rains. It is
instructed to the construction staff to remove the water and slushy soils and to take all necessary
measures for draining of water immediately along the bund so that rain gullies are not formed.

2) It is instructed to recti$r the rain gullies immediately.


3) It is instructed to remove the slush due to rains and take necessary measures to avoid water
logging on the U/s berms, so that the slushy soils should not get mixed with filters.
