In addition to that, Prof. Petros Patias, the OBSERVE project coordinator will be delivering a pre-
sentation about the initiative for the “Gi4DN 2011 – Geoinformation for Disaster Management”
conference in Antalya, held from 3rd to 8th May, 2011.
Lastly, the EC OBSERVE Officer invited Prof. Petros Patias to participate at the GEPW-5 meeting
in London, in order to promote and present the OBSERVE activities. For this reason a poster and
a presentation (see page 7) has been prepared and presented.
The major part of the discussion during the meeting was devoted to thepreparation of the 2012-
2015 GEO Work Plan, which as far the EU concerns will be coordinated and financed through the
FP8 framework program.
In the end, our participation was very important and potentially usefulsince there was no other
official participation by other Balkan countries.
