1. Objective
To prepare a Gantt Chart which is a timeline that is used as a project management tool to manage
project schedules. This helps us to view individual tasks, their durations and the sequencing of
these tasks. It also gives an overall timeline of the project and the expected completion date.

2. Introduction
We have used a Gantt Chart to track our Mobile Application Development self-study. It is the
simplest form of timeline that illustrates how the project will progress during the project
management process. This timeline was quite useful for planning and scheduling projects. This
helped the team assess the project duration, determine the resources needed, understand the
dependencies between tasks, and plan the order in which each task is to be delivered to complete
the project on time. As the project moves forward, a Gantt chart adjusts simultaneously, displaying
an up-to-date project schedule to keep everyone informed of the progress. In addition to this, Gantt
charts replace meetings and enhance other status updates.

4. Conclusion
In all, using a Gantt chart tool is useful during project management as it allows you to picture the
project against its time frame. It brings timelines, tasks, milestones and all the other crucial project
details in one place so you can keep your project moving.
