Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that a consistent approach is followed for monitoring and review and that
job-related skill and knowledge, and employee competencies and behaviours, are evaluated and compared against
set standards and business objectives.
Policy
To establish whether there are effective and appropriate mechanisms to ensure that intended outcomes are
being attained, standards are being achieved and the program specification is being delivered.
To establish whether the programme remains current and effective.
To verify that procedures are working effectively to assure the standards of the Department’s awards and the
quality of the learning opportunities for workers.
To identify good practice within particular programmes or areas that can be disseminated both within and
outside the Department.

Gathering the required data
- Data is one of the most valuable resources today’s businesses have. The more information you have
about your customers, the better you can understand their interests, wants and needs. This enhanced
understanding helps you meet and exceed your customers’ expectations and allows you to create
messaging and products that appeal to them.

Communicating the analysis and taking action as required
- The importance of buy-in and communication among your team is hard to overstate. Hold regular
meetings – ideally weekly – to communicate organizational progress and discuss any issues that may
have emerged. Whether through meetings, dashboards, or some other means, team members should
be able to track their personal progress and performance on a weekly basis. and ultimately achieve the
goals that will drive strategic vision.
