SUBJECT Policy and Guidelines on the Delivery of other Arts and Sciences
Programs with OJT/Practicum Course During this Pandemic
which are not Covered by Previous Regional Office
Memorandum.

Pursuant to the provisions of Republic Act No. 7722, otherwise known as the "Higher
Education Act of 1994", and in relation with CHED Memorandum Orders of various
Arts and Sciences Programs which require OJTllnternship program as a requirement
for graduation , the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office 10 has
established minimum policies and guidelines for the Higher Education Institutions'
(HEI's) compliance with the requirements for OJTllnternship for various Arts and
Sciences Programs this academic year 2020-2021 where "off-campus" or "Students
Face-to-face" is not allowed in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.

That in compliance with the NO Face-to-Face and No Deployment for


OJT/lnternship, the following substitute activities are set as due equivalent of the
number of hours requirement prescribed by the various policies, standard and
guidelines of Arts and Sciences programs;

• An equitable number of hours on Virtual Seminar-Workshop/ Seminar Write-


shop or Webinar for all students enrolled in the OJTllnternship. All students
who have complied with the hour requirements must be given E-certificates
signed by the speaker/s and the immediate head of the agency. The
students must print their certificates and compile them;

• All students enrolled in OJTllnternship must submit Case Study/Case


Analysis/Other studies related to the program delivery. The Case Study/
Case Analysis/Other studies must be presented before an independent panel
(not faculty or staff of the HEI) composed of at least 3 members at the choice
of the concerned HE!. The presentation of the Case Study or Analysis shall
be done virtually. The panel may give rating based on the rubrics provided by
the HE!. Each student must present his/her case study;

• The format for Case Analysis or Case Study must be in accordance with their
program and institutional standard.

• The HEI must assure and insure that the minimum standard program
competencies of the various programs of the Arts and Sciences with
OJT/Practicum course must be delivered to the students without sacrificing
their health and safety.
