1. INTRODUCTION
This technical communication is issued to inform the field of the appropriate cable part number and
cable pin out to be used when connecting to the V.24 management port on the Enterprise Call Server
(CS).

2. CABLE PART NUMBER AND PIN OUT

The part number for the Alcatel supplied cable is 3EH 75003 AA (RJ45 to female DB9 adapter cable,
length: 3m).
If one needs to make a cable to connect to the V.24 port of the CS, the pin out is:

3. SUMMARY
In the field, strange behaviors have been observed when an inappropriately pinned out cable is
connected to the V.24 port of the Enterprise CS. Alcatel Technical Support recommends that one use
the Alcatel supplied part number 3EH 75003 AA to avoid any problem.
