1. INTRODUCTION
This document describes the technical release of OmniPCX Enterprise Release 6.0.
Release 6.0 (version F1.602.3.i) is a major release.
You should need to make sure that all versions of existing applications are compatible with release
R6.0; refer to chapters 4, 5, and 6 of the technical communication TC0593 Installation procedure
for version F1.602.3.i.
Release 6.0 integrates new features:

The Premium Customer Support process allows the Partner Businesses to profit an assistance on
features or products whose marketing was announced (DR3) but which are not launched yet on
the market. The PCS process replaces the SDP (Specific Deal Process) previous process; refer to
the eFlash EF_Marketing_003_260704.
(2) CAUTION
PC Installer v2.17 or above is mandatory for loading Appliance Server X306.
(3) Appliance Server X306 must be ordered through Alcatel.
This version works with the Linux 23.6 operating system and supports the Crystal hardware and
common hardware platforms (common hardware with OmniPCX Office).
It enables the Call Server to work on the CPU5 Step3 / CPU6 Step2 128 MB, CPU7 256 MB of
crystal hardware, the CS CPU and on IBM Appliance Server (X305 and X306).
It allows hardware to be combined (common hardware and crystal hardware):
Since Release 5.1, the migration of OmniPCX 4400 to OmniPCX Enterprise is supported, but
some applications and hardware are no longer supported (therefore in the case of migration from
4400 to R6.0; refer to chapters 4, 5 and 6 of the technical communication TC0593 Installation
procedure for version F1.602.3.i.

Restriction
The feature Remote Extension for fax over IP behind H323 Gateway is not supported.
